Facts. I’m just not as sold on Farley as most here
Especially when you factor in injuries and opt out. It's all projection and potential. I actually have Horn and Surtain ahead of Farley. I like Joseph a bit as well and guys like Molden who is the best slot corner in the draft..... in my opinion.

Plenty of options but I would be cautious taking Farley especially top 10

Joseph is the 4th best cb and should be a late first on talent. The red flag on him is where it cast a doubt where he goes. The Titans just drafted a red flagged CB last year at the end of the first and recently released him. That probably scares the rest of the league more on Joseph.

I have Joseph ranked higher than 4th CB. I believe the same concerns about Patrick Peterson was there too. Same with Janoris Jenkins. The weed isn't a problem anymore.

I do think Joseph drops some like you said but on talent he is a top 15 pick. If you want to fix the secondary go Horn in the 1st, Joseph in the 2nd and grab Washington in the 3rd. You get a safety and replace Awuzie and Lewis.

Could also get DT or LB with the comp 3 and get other defense positions with the rest of the draft. Free agency work on front 7.

Is he ranked the highest since Mo Clay?
Remember they also said Claiborne was a better prospect than his LSU teammate Patrick Peterson.

Hopefully the people behind those "rankings" are no longer involved.

Nope, just checked. We're still screwed.

I’d be very surprised if they put their board together already and have him at 1. Seems far fetched.

I seriously doubt Dallas has a board even nearly set today. So who they would pick is a rather large guess but given they signed Dak and we never sign free agents of note this is what we have for a month.

I do think some teams will rate Farley CB1.
If you look at only his positives he is really, really appealing.

But I also think some teams will rate him outside R1 based on his body of work, lack of health and physicality.
A lot more guess work with him than Surtain or Horn.

Dallas is obviously a big athletic profile team: see Taco Charlton. But they've also shown a love for big name program guys like Diggs last year and for just free fallers like CeeDee Lamb.
So you really could crystal ball this thing any which way and it would be fair.

The Cowboys under McClay have targeted prospects with high sparq, athletic profiles. After Farley works out, I expect him to separate from the rest of the CB group. He is expected to test out like CJ Henderson last yr, which the team really liked, but was taken ahead of them.

The one place I'd correct Fish here is that while I'd call Horn a dog and Surtain a dog, I am not calling Farley a dog.
I think he has Deion like athletic potential but a dog he is not. He is a playmaker but not a bully, not a dog.
Not saying I'd pass on him but I am saying if the reason you pick him is because he has that dog in him first, this isn't that guy.

Don’t want Farley, two major surgeries in three years in college. I understand a ACL isn’t a death sentence like it was in the 80s but add that to a back surgery. Would rather have Surtain or trade down and hopefully get Horn.

100% accurate.
But if you look at their recent past the athletic profile guys are ones who flopped thus far:
LVE with injuries
THill with immaturity and lack of game strength
Reggie Robinson

The guys they've taken from Bama and OU have hit. Lamb, Gallimore, Diggs.
The last athletic profile guy they hit on was Byron Jones but it took him 3 years.
Everyone discussed at 10 will have a very good athletic profile.

I don't disagree with you, but under McClay they target elite athletes. Out of the top 3, Farley is the clear-cut best athlete out of the group. He may run in the 4.2 range. Virginia Tech isn't a small program, no it's not the SEC, but it isn't Tulsa, either

Depends on the grading they've applied as to whether a trade down is a good idea, they could go as low as 15 and still get one of their guys. The tricky part of that is are their 5 QB's already off the board or is there one that they could really make out on the trade well because unless they trade up, the Niners or Pats could be trade partners.

I really do think the key to this draft for Dallas is Pitts. If he's on the board, he's a Cowboy. He might be the best player in this draft and we know how Booger loves him some TE's. Never know how this will work out but Pitts may be the generational talent in this draft with nothing but upside because if he'd played in the Big 12, he might be the top pick. At FL, Pitts and Toney were so good, Trask isn't a top QB prospect because of them.

Those of you hoping for D at that 10 pick best hope Pitts is gone.

I agree with you. I believe Denver will pick him before us.

That's possible, without a doubt. They also have other needs, so we'll see what comes first. Dallas likes Surtain, so there's that, also.

If Dallas had to choose today, he believes their top CB and indeed top defender is Caleb Farley.

He cites Farley's speed and length and Diggs' lack of burner speed as big reasons why.

I totally agree with Fish and for every point he made. Cowboys would be best to pick CB Caleb Farley.
