Totes thinking they're going to focus on Jay Jay being a Leo and simplifying all of his duties.
Here's to wishing upon a star.
It’s possible but we won’t know for a while. Smith might be interesting at the LEO spot.

I don’t think they’re going to cut Jaylon like some want. They’ll want to see him in Quinn’s defense and give him another year I think. One thing that will help Smith is taking him off the field some, which it looks like they’ll do with Neal coming in in the nickel/dime. Last year Jaylon played some crazy high snap percentage (like 95%or something IIRC). That is waaayyyy too much for him... and really for anybody. They didn’t have nearly enough substitutions in last year’s defense. Guys need a break. It should help Jaylon out a lot.

So, it’ll be up to Smith to make a good impression this season or it really could be his last year in Dallas.

Jaylon was one of 14 linebackers that had 1,000+ snaps last year.

Do you remember what % that was of the total defensive snaps? It was very high, I remember that.

IMO if they take him off the field in a lot of the sub packages, what you do get from him will be improved from last year.

Sorry man. It’s done. I know I seem childish but I don’t care. 1 year deals annoy me.
I guess that you are annoyed at the Broncos new corner that just signed a one year deal. Being childish is one thing, but blaming the Cowboys for 1 year deals is another.

My concern is the injury, hopefully he can run better than swipe can.
This is a guy quinn wanted since he is from falcons.
maybe it is a good deal, have to wait and see.

we are nary 1 good db away now from having a solid back 7...still concerned about linebacker. WILSON btw will be a star.

Seems like a decent signing. He's better than woods at least. Who's going to play fs though Neal or Wilson is my question?

If all he does is keep Jaylon off the field and out of coverage on third down, it’s a great signing. I say he improves our ability to get off the field on third down immensely. That, in turn, greatly improves our defense. A solid signing by the boys here.

Nevertheless, Jerry was reportedly enamored by the name Keanu.
Tha is Jerry's football logic, me lads, tha with a name like tha he must be a good player! Hooray!
Luckily, the brainiacs in his circle decided a one year deal was enough. Hooray, again, rowdy ruffians!
Onward, to continued mediocrity!

Each team has 3 LBs on average on the field so he’s in the top quintile.
Spread offenses has changed that, most of the time there are only two LBs out there and that's if one of them isn't a safety.

Him and LVE will be much better in this scheme, those 2 were lost more than anyone else in Nolans defense , taking some snaps from him would definitely benefit him. Saying all that , I’d move on from him lol. He just seems clueless,

Salary cap wise you would just be hurting your depth. Maybe in a year or two, but he may redeem himself in this system.
