How did Poe grade better than anybody? He did absolutely nothing. You could have played with an empty trash can and gotten the same result. Poe should have been arrested for stealing money. One of the worst so called players in the history of the team. Right up there with Roy Williams from UT.

It’s moot anyway even if we didn’t have those two. Reed will command way more than this cheap FO would want to pay a DT.

Watkins and Urban are no different than other DTs we signed like Thornton and Paea. People trying to use them as an organizational shift at DT are fooling themselves.

Urban has been good. If he plays like he did last year, it will really help the team. He is an upgrade over Crawford.

I don't understand why fans think 3-tech is fixed just because we spent a second-round pick on the position that has not been what we need at the position, a third-round pick who showed a little potential but not what we need at the position and brought in a couple of low-cost FAs who are not at the level we need starting at the position.

I think some don't understand how important 3-tech is in this defense. You need a dawg at the spot because it's the engine that drives the front seven. He's the guy that has to be blowing through the line to disrupt the run and get in the face of the quarterback for the defense to work the way it is meant to. If we're not getting consistent pressure from that position, we're not succeeding.

Agreed. A Jarrad Reed signing or even a trade for a Justin Simmons is the type of addition that would buck the trend. They butchered the Dak contract situation so bad even the signing of the No.1 consensus FA felt deflating.....battle fatigue

Sure, you need players like Reed on the DLine, but at the same time you cannot afford to overpay him. I like Reed, but not for 10 mil/season. Besides, I'm a firm believer that we have our Reed in Galley.

Reed will probably bet on himself, take a one year deal and wait for the cap to increase.

Will probably get less than Tomlinson although he is the better player IMO.

Dallas has no real excuse to not be in on a one year deal.

They can find the money. Elliotts money is guaranteed and he is going to here anyway. Restructure him if need be....worry about the extra few million of dead money in 2024 when the time comes.

Reed was making $11.5 per on his former deal. Could lkley be had around $8 per on a new deal, but I don't know if he'd consider something short term.

He had 6.5 sacks last year and would likely be the best (proven) 3T on the roster.

Another (potentially cheaper) option I would not be mad at: Jurrell Casey
