We would all like a balanced attack...no one should want Dak (or any other QB) throwing 40 plus times a game. That typically means you are losing and or your D can't stop anyone. That being said, Zeke and Dak need to protect the football, fumbles just can't be tolerated,, by either one of them.

Don’t you think I know that was some of the reasoning from last season.
I am confident you will post like you know it all, and no one else knows anything. And to contradict them as well.

Well MM just confirmed everything I was just saying the entire offseason about this VERY subject. Thats not going to help my "know it all" attitude I hate to break it to you.

I dont contradict just to do it I just push my opinions confidently. Its clear plenty of people cant handle that. I think this says more about those people than it does me to be honest. I wont even deny having a "know it all" attitude. I do.

Dak isnt a guy that typically has turnover problems. Zeke has NO excuse. He gets handed the ball and simply fumbles all on his own.

That’s the key
To be balanced the run game has to be successful and you have have a decent D
Balance is great. Unless you’re behind. So in theory I want balance more than anything. But that means opening up the game right off the bat. Remember the Oakland Raiders the first play of every opening game was a bomb 50 yards plus. Not that I want that but. I don’t think anybody can understand the game plan until the game plan is played out. Although I do like the dictate to the defense

Sigh....when are people gonna learn....you wanted the Boise State offense...well it's a pass heavy offense. Better get used to it. Kellen is gonna call alot of passes early....build a big lead....then salt the game away with the run. Too many people want to look @ the box score and pick it apart. Analytics is a stupid way to judge an offense. You can make any argument you want with stats. Fact is...Dak has to make this offense work. It's up to him...there is no hiding the QB in this system.

Two ways to look at it.

He's never been a run guy. Never had this balance that he speaks of.

But he's never had a Tony Pollard either.

We shall see if he's serious. Right now I take this as him wanting to drop a few pounds.

MM ran the ball pretty well when he had Eddie Lacy in his prime up in Green Bay. But overall you're right, his offenses have largely been pass first.

to be fair last year he could not implement that with no qb, no ol, and mess on defense..just wing it , this offseason we will see what MM had in mind in his hire pressor..
like he said if Dak and those WRs need 400yards game and 30+ to win, its because the defense is still struggling and cant get run game involved like that..

id lie balance when it calls for it, throw ton when ti calls for it low score ugly up run type games when it calls for it..

this is MM message to KM...that the key to unpredictable balanced offense that can beat you multiple ways,,

Less Dak has always made the Cowboys a better team.

I mean even last year we had a better win percentage after he left.

Good plan today, let's see what happens in September, I hope he is able to achieve that balance.

It's smart football, but game situations dictate the overall game as it happens.
We all would like Dak's passes to be more in the 30's and the rush touches to be somewhere in the 50/50 range, but sometimes that's just not feasible.

We can all sit and post nonstop about Dak and his 50 passes, but if the game that's played made it unavoidable, it was unavoidable.
And that meant that things went wrong. Turnovers, a failing offense, a failing defense, a failing Special Teams (which so many here forget about) can do the trick.

In a perfect world, yes: keep the mix as balanced as possible.

Good luck with that.

Didn't anyone tell Mike Mike it's not his call.

Mike Mike to his coaching staff: I want to run the ball more.

Mike Mike to the press: We want to be balanced on offense this year.

Kellen to Jerry Jones on the Batphone: Jerry, you gonna let these weapons go to waste? You anointed CeeDee the next Michael Irvin. You're paying Dak $40 million to hand off half the game? You're paying Amari Cooper to be a decoy? We need to increase Michael Gallup's trade value. Butts don't fill seats to see ox plowing. They want to see Eagles dive-bombing for prey. We need to throw, throw, and throw and score, score and score some more.

Jerry to Mike Mike: Thanks for feeding the deception to the press. We're going to throw the ball at least 80 percent of the time. We have the weapons. We're paying them more than enough. We need to get our money's worth. We need a firework's show.

Mike Mike to the press: Yes, we said we're going to be balance. But I've decided to play to our strength, which is the passing game.

Press: Word has it that Jerry wanted the offense to be more pass-oriented. Is this true?

Mike Mike to the press: Next question.

The Tweet just reads weird.

This guy says he spoke to some other guy who attended Cowboys camp just reeks of Simone from Ferris Bueller.
