Taken a step back?

Okay, he's taken a step back in his return from the shoulder he strained. He didn't take a step back from his injury last season. He didn't take a step back from his skill level. He didn't take a permanent step back in his physical abilities. he strained his shoulder, probably should have taken it a little easier at first.

There is nothing here. He will rest and be ready for the next game. If anything, all he's going to miss is an opportunity to get hurt in a meaningless game.

We will see more of what we have in the other QB's, something that is very necessary.

Way to early to think anything, maybe around week 4/5ish ok time to start getting a read on what we got, right now.....nay!!!!

I remember some years back the Pats get destroyed by the Chiefs 40-13ish and it was,....that's it Brady is too old and they are done ah.......the Pats would win another SB,

Slow down, it's a long season.
Dak ain’t in the same universe as Tom Brady.

I know...it's sad. See, I don't mind the Dak crowd propping up there man, but to stoop as low as to make fun of one of our own that tried his arse off, broke his ribs, partnered his lung, broke a collar bone to try and win us Cowboy fans a ring...they still laugh and make joke and fun of the poor bastid. But, consider the source, that all you need to do.
Romo had all the talent in the world. Problem is the limelight went to his head when he was young and healthy, he got involved with that Barbie wannabe bimbo, he went Hollywood and he started making some very bad decisions which led to serious choke jobs. That's not being mean. That's just pointing out historical facts. If one can't handle the truth that Romo committed himself, tough cookies. That's what us fans do...praise and critique.

It's obvious what's going on here.

Think Amari Cooper. They got paid. They don't want to put in the work.
LOL...I guess you missed the video of Dak running sprints by himself after practice. I think you also missed the part where Dak built a football field in his backyard to practice. Dak has always been a hardworking player throughout his career. If you had said the Cowboys training staff sucks and misdiagnosed his injury, I would believe it. They've done that a lot.

It works both way, honey pie.

I'd prefer he get some real action before facing the best defense in the NFL seeing as how he hasn't played a single meaningful snap since Week 4 a year ago.

Wouldn't you?
I wouldn't have any issue with it I'm just saying a preseason game ain't gonna prepare him for what's gonna face him in the opener....

I seriously doubt Dak would have played in HOF game before the strain.

What is it then, and why do they have preseason? Is preseason not a game? It lasts the same length as a regular season game.
I look at it as more of a cash grab then a actual game. I mean the games are mostly full of guys who will either be on the street or playing backup roles...

That is a straight up lie...I may be logged in but I'm doing tons of other things, but then again I don't need to explain anything to you anymore, I found your character right in front of my eyes.

How is it a lie? You say I'm on this site day and night...how else would you know that unless you were on here day and night? Come on man think.....

As Todd Archer said.

Mike McCarthy said Dak Prescott will not throw today and not play in the game. The coach said the team is “just being more conservative,” in their approach so the injury does not become a bigger deal. Perhaps could return to throwing next week but there’s not been a setback.

That sounds worse than I thought. Thanks for posting.

I would think they would absolutely want him to get live action to get himself ready for the season. So missing the first preseason game is one thing, but if this stretches into a couple and him still not practicing, that would raise big red flags.

It's not even the not playing in the game that has me intrigued. It's the fact that they felt the need to come out today and say they are going to be even more conservative with him. Given the franchise's bad track record of reporting/covering up injuries, the fact they felt they had to say this today tells me that there may be more concern here than they are letting on.
Not practicing I would agree. IF he doesn't practice between now and the opener then yeah that's a cause for concern.

I never thought he'd play in the preseason because I Didn't get the point. Especially if they wanted to be cautious with his ankle...

Hopefully its not like La'El where they drag this out to the point he's out for the season. I can't imagine it being that serious unless they lied about what kind of injury he has.
