True but most of his salary was converted to SB earlier this year (I think) so the pay hit is minimal, if that is the case.
Around 2 mil and he lost the injury clause in his contract because of it

The ‘reward’ here is the right to play OT. Not the money.

The $2M he is losing is irrelevant to the team and the big picture.
Our comments are also irrelevant to the big picture We are not in charge

Here’s the good news Coogs- we are having this conversation. Never happened with Chaz Green or some of the other backups of recent past.

What does the expert on all things culture say about this? If you are setting the culture of the team, what do you do?

Too bad. Need to make an example of him. You never reward behavior like that.

Otherwise the talented know they can do whatever they want.

You think benching Collins is going to send a message?

LOL.

Again, you are letting emotion get in the way here.

Throw all the guys who have made that mistake off the team? I was just getting used to having Randy Gregory back,,, kinda liking it actually.

I'm sure the team will consider dumping him in the offseason if they think he can't turn it around, but no way it happens before then. He's quality depth at both tackle and guard.

What is wrong with emotion? Players play with emotion.

Yes, benching, trading, cutting Collins will send a loud and clear message to the team.

So, Odig and Golston can do the same thing as Gregory and be coddled? Same thing with Diggs and Parsons?

This is about sending a message to all those young players. Team first. Football first.

I don’t want Collins contaminating the team.

Collins quit on the team last year. Didn’t play one down. Now we find out he had to have failed a bunch of drug tests to be in the testing protocol in the first place. The druggie couldn’t even show up for the tests. The liar used whatever excuse he could find. The liar tried to bribe the tester.

No, we all don’t mess up like that.

Trade him or cut him.
Now he's a druggie....lol good Lord

Steele will be a good swing tackle for us. But he won’t stay the starter.

this is good though. The team has him under cheap control for the next 2 years. He is signed for next year and he is a RFA the year after that.

So they now have a capable swing tackle at cheap prices for the next couple of years.

This is a very good thing.

Once Collins is back does he get his job back. I love how Steele is playing and I'm sure others feel the same. Yes Collins is making big money, I'd stay with the hot hand, your thoughts???
Collins is a much, much better player
If this ends his drama and there’s nothing else going on that could be a problem later, Collins will take his job back and it’s not even close
And I really like Steele

He needs released lol
He could be if they have the confidence that Collins or Steele could play left tackle
If you do then no reason to keep him and it’s not a high bar to be better than he is

..better question is Collins staying in shape? ;)..
He’s able to work out at the facility and looks like he is
The bigger question is does this end the issues that caused the suspension and that’s not just the bribe but the reason he was busting the tester in the first place

Yes, he is a druggie who cares more about drugs than football and the team.
My God what is Randy G then?. Collins went 180 straight without a positive then had a positive for codeine after his surgery. So yea glad your in a spot to judge him after this
