I feel like he just isn't as good as Dez, and Dez isn't a HOFer. I know we didn't have a lot of better options at 17 except Diggs himself and we got Diggs anyway in the second round. But I think it could have been an overdraft considering Noah Brown and Cedrick Wilson have performed just as well in this offense when given their opportunities on a per snap basis. Lamb drops passes, doesn't make tough contested and spectacular catches. He only catches when he's open. He's not Dez even though the Cowboys painfully obviously try to scheme him to get as many chances as he can.

Opinions??
No one’s a Hall of Famer until they finish their career . Why are you even talking about it

Definition of troll thread. The OP makes a ridiculous thread then runs and never shows back up.

I think you may want to find that catch against Philly where Dez is running left and Romo (at least I think it was Romo) heaves the ball to him among three Philly defenders and Dez reaches back across his body to snatch the ball while in the air .. He's leaping over three guys while working back against gravity.. If I can find it in my archives I will post it but that was about as much of a contorting show as you could ask for from a receiver. It's the one thing we're missing from this offense in the red zone too.

I remember that catch. If I'm not mistaken, it happened in 2015, and Dez was having issues with his foot that year.

Not being a HOF player in your second year should get you cut
Wasted draft pick I guess
Fans amaze me

Hell no, he's not over rated.
He's like no other receiver the cowboys have had.
He's the best cowboys receiver since Michael Irvin. In fact if he was about 10-15 lbs heavier, he's be a [more] athletic version of The Play-Maker.

I'd like to have both at the same time. Having 2 # 88's would confuse the defenses.
I will admit having #85 and #88 on the field with the same body type and size, same hairstyle and skin tone, same speed and same skillset and same talent level is quite confusing for the defense. Even confused the heck out of Jim Nantz in the New England game.

Dez was on a clear hall of fame trajectory, but his prime was cut short. CeeDee is pretty great too and I don't know that HOF is the barometer one way or another.
Dez was ELITE, arguably the best receiver in the NFL or the second best behind one Calvin Johnson, in his prime from 2012-2014. Unfortunately the foot injury cut his prime short and ended his chance for Canton level glory.

Judging by preseason talk in the forum he’s overrated by a large amount of our fan base but that doesn’t mean he’s not very good. He’s what like a top 20 WR, that’s pretty good in a league loaded at the position. Hopefully he’ll ascend to tier 1.
