I totally get your point...

I don't deny the fact that the odds are better in winning the superbowl with a 1st round QB....the odds are 7/63 based on QBs drafted since 2000, which is the period you mentioned. and of the 7, 4 were top 12 picks....so chances of finding one in top 12 is much bettter than lower in the round. just the odds, as you have focused on odds to make your point.

but are you ready to tank so that we get a top 15 pick and chances of getting a better QB and perhaps having to do it a couple of times to find the right QB. of the 47 QBs taken in the top 15, 4 have been to superbowl.....

I am not opposed to drafting a QB in first round. I have said it several times. but drafting a QB lower in the round has lesser chance and most good QBs go in the top half of the round....

so lets dump players. cut them and lets draft a QB in top 10 of the draft. if that leads us to a superbowl.....
You can say 4 of 7 were top 12, I can say 4 out of 7 were pick 10 or later. Regardless, saying you must tank is clearly not borne out by the last 20 years. Regardless, I'd take a QB in the first round until I felt like I found the guy. And if that meant enduring a couple/few terrible seasons I would gladly pay that price. It's what the Cowboys did last time they had any actual success after all.

Maybe if Dak got pissed off and starting working up the team on the sidelines that would help?

His lost stare into space and dumbfounded looks when they're getting beat doesn't look like leadership to me.

Mike Irvin did it well....... Who's that guy on the team?
Micah is the obvious candidate to take over the primary leadership role on the team. And if he needs to rough up Dak in front of the rest of the team to cement that he's the lead dog, I'd allow that if I were the coach. It's important to have a clear leader on the team.

Or Dak for that matter.

That's the problem with some people in respect of this discussion, way too polarized. Mac Jones is at present the most settled rookie QB and the factors helping him in NE would of been there in Dallas.
oh, I am with you. I never annointed Dak. Mac Jones is like Dak in 2016.... going to a strong team, and he is luckier because he is got the GOAT for coach....Mac Jones in Dallas is a losing season.

my whole contention is if anyone can logically put fort and argument that another QB can make dallas better, I will show Dak the door. but at this point, no one has logically done that and Dak is our best chance....I also don't look through a peeping whole to pigeon hole him in any ways as some do.....so show me a better option...I am with you

it maybe a few bad seasons and then you discover that your QB is not the one (ala Jones in NY) and you got to go through it all over again..... fact is 7 out of 63 first round QBs, top 10 or not have failed. 40+ were top 12, almost 30 top 10....

meaning you will probably cycle through more before you find the one.

dak is part of the soft hotboyz culture. Parson should take over and if he has to slap him around some, so be it.

I've already agreed with that as you are stating fact regarding the odds so you don't have to keep repeating that. But regardless it's still the best chance of success.

Oh so NOW you are being sarcastic and using analogies.....alright lol. When you get called out for a lie let's just blame it on a poster not understanding your "sarcasm". Think what you want nothing is getting solved here. Dak's a bad leader. You got it champ.........I have no interest in a back and forth with someone who's debating skills requires them to constantly tell the other poster what they "can't do" or "won't do". Childlike behavior.

Add this one to your "reel" too.
lol

The irony.

lol

60% to 40% seems like a vocal majority. Cheers
As of this post, there are only 62 members who voted that agree with the OP so far.

When you consider the amount of members on this site, that is the very definition of vocal minority.

Cheers

Not really. All of Dak's fans are on this forum...when he signed that contract reddit and twitter were full of posts by people ridiculing the cowboys for the decision. Outside of the Fan Zone, Dak is considered an average QB. Step outside of the echo chamber every once in awhile.

2 things the Cowboys have done really well in the last 25 years

1. Excellent PR
2. Overpay average to below average players

Those are all assumptions.

Unlike you, I am not pushing an opinion on whether Dak is good or not or if he is worth his salary.

I simply pointed out that the majority of fans on this site do not think Dak is just a bus driver, which the OP incorrectly assumed because he, like you, assume that you are right and that the loudest voices of the moment speak for all fans.

For example, in a poll thread I created a few days ago with 5 times the number of votes as this thread's poll, I asked members here if they are happy with Dak as the Cowboys quarterback and the latest poll results for that poll show 70% of the members on this site that voted are happy with him.

I can only speak about this site which is what the OP commented on and the post I replied to.

I really do not care what fans outside of CZ think because there is no way to validate which teams they are fans of and whether or not they are a vocal minority of whatever viewpoints they have.

:lmao2::lmao2::lmao::lmao::laugh::laugh:

He's not elite because Bridgewater doesnt do that all the time. Dak does that nearly every week.

God you have no clue about football. Its like I am talking to a little child.

I swat your laughable comments like a fly.

Its the STATS that make YOU look like the fool.

You want wins? 7-4 and in first place. I know a troll like you was hoping the Eagles would win, but they lost today. :muttley:

Looks like its over for you laughable trolls. Cowboys getting ready to roll again with inured players beginning to return.

Back under your rock like for you and the roaches.
Your reply shows you have no evidence or reason to back up your delusion .

You sound crazy....Dak's leadership is why a Micah can come in and make the impact he is. They hold each other accountable...not like that soft *** Garrett/Romo era.

I mean you did try to make up some weird point up by using a anomaly game by Bridgewater to try and compare him to Dak when Dak has far more good games than bad. I honestly thought you were being sarcastic which is why I didn't reply but I guess you were being serious....ouch.
