"Get Back" on Disney+ puts to rest some of the rumors about that song and the relationships between the Beatles. It also opens up about their creative process and the respect those on the fringes gave it.

It is a fascinating look at some exceptional camera work in capturing the faces and mind reading that the viewer gets to do even from the supporting cast and lays to rest that Yoko tried to come between them. She is constantly by John's side but not in between John and Paul and actually acts disinterested when they are at odds with each other. She was the master at being there and not being there when it came to those two people.

It is mind bending to watch Paul working on "The Long and Winding Road" and "Let It Be" in the background while others try to conduct business.

Don't bother watching lasso. The one good thing in it which is soccer, gets put on the back burner quickly, and it becomes a soap opera that mentions soccer occasionally. I don't get why people like it.
The timing of Ted Lasso was perfection. We needed a guy like him in the worst way and it heralded just being a nice man.

Personally, I could not get enough of that first season and all the while this nonsense is going on around us but there was relief for me, Ted Lasso.

100%

I was fully expecting Jason Sudekisis’ to be some snarky character. It was refreshing to see him ne something different.

Yes i agree.

The first season was refreshing and funny, but season 2 they devolved into the Hallmark channel.

I’ve only watched the first episode but it’s been amazing to have such an inside view of their creative process. And to actually have the moment where George quits on film was in incredible. Too bad they had them stop filming.

Just tried finishing the first episode of Cowboy Bebop….my gosh it’s horrible. It’s like Walker Texas Ranger level of acting and script writing. I’m all for mindless entertainment but this is just bad.
I got as far as the casino being emptied into space like a balloon deflating and called it quits.

I went to los colinas on a field trip when I was smaller. I remember 3 things. They had a terminator robot, some good horror masks, and part of a set from walker texas ranger. I thought it was funny because they made all the doorways extra small, so that chuck norris would look bigger when he walked through them.

It is based on an anime, and it pretty much follows the anime to the T. They are short episodes, and that is how the scenes are. I think it is a clever way to bring an anime to real time.

Think about if they made dragon ball z into a real life show. They would have a guy standing/floating and trying to power up for 4 episodes, then on friday a fight scene.

Maybe that's why anime is a cartoon, not live action.

every type of show has a format

soap operas have drama scenes with music
detective shows have a crime, 2 false attempts to solve it, then they solve it at the end of the show
comedys have a line, laugh track, a line, laugh track, a line, laugh track

I cant watch any of those types of shows because all i see is the format, same with news programs, but I like anime, and i like it as live action.

to each their own

Does one small alteration in physical appearance change how someone views an actor or actress? I began watching Rosamund Pike in The Wheel of Time on Prime Video. Not sure if she is a natural blonde but that is how I am familiar with her after seeing movies like Die Another Day, Jack Reacher, Gone Girl, etc.

Pike plays the main character Moiraine Damodred, who is a brunette. I am assuming her hair color matches the character's appearance in the books that inspired the series. The change does give her a sort of bewitching/sorcerous-like aura. It keeps throwing me off somewhat when I least expect it. I will occasionally ask myself, "Is this really Rosamund Pike?" lol.

The series is my first exposure to a young actress named Zoë Robins. Still evaluating her talent but she has impressed me thus far. I made this comment as a spoiler just in case anyone has only seen the first episode and wonder why I am talking about her. :p

It seems to mimic wind, which I have been assuming is the basis of the "one power." I am new to the story so that might be an incorrect assumption on my part. The CGI is not too flashy and subtle in presentation.

To me, it looks like a subdued version of the airbender's abilities from Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra with some of their graceful body movements before directing the power. I like it.

Think of it as weaving different patterns with threads. It should get pretty cool. There will be massive battles and they will portal armies in like in endgame, and all sorts of stuff.

They weaved a pattern around Logan and it settled on him and trapped him or cut him off from his power. He then broke through their weave/pattern and started his own

What I don't like is how long it takes her to use the power sometimes. It's no wonder she has a protector by her side.

One of the most interesting parts of that is how those around them treated the creative process and how they stayed out of it until they reached a point as George Martin and Glyn Johns did. They had to move it forward because they's get stuck because of their relationships.

Look for Alan Parsons in the background as the tape steward. He moves up fast to Johns' job on Abbey Road and then onto Dark Side of the Moon.

That doc is proof they should have replaced Brian Epstein when he passed away and not managed themselves. Paul was the reluctant manager and the one that we always thought was the serious one, John, was the clown. He really made that for me., I did a rewind for some of his lines.
