Thats my point though how do you find "The Guy" in this franchise structure..its going to ruin anyone before they can be the guy...we dont know what Dak is, we do know he can not win in the "Jerry's way" Cowboys though. I'm saying I dont think any QB could. But we will all be looking for "The Guy" until the owner is no longer running this show.

It is the QB. The Rams got rid of a QB that was about like Dak and they brought in a hired gun. Stafford is a better pure passer than Goff. Dallas would be wise to get rid of Dak like the Rams got rid of Goff. Except Goff would probably do better than Dak in Dallas.

Yup there will be another QB and you will like him or dislike him for whatever reason...but what you wont be able to do is call him a SB winner as long as this franchise is run the way it is and has been for 26 years...those are facts.

Of course!! Mahomes is definitely elite, but not because of winning the Superbowl, but because of his skill set. There are alot of quarterbacks who won the Superbowl and they weren't elite.

There are quarterbacks who were elite but never won a Superbowl. Being a quarterback who wins a Superbowl doesn't make them elite. Now if a quarterback wins multiple Superbowls, 9 times out of 10, he's probably elite.

Dak isn't elite, but he could become elite.

He's never going to be elite. Elite QBs need less help around them, Dak will never be a QB that can do more with less. That's not his game. Mahomes CAN do that. Mahomes has never had the best offensive line or the best defense.

Again Mahomes is better but he is no TB12 or Aikman, Montana, Elway, Marino yet...so no to me he is not elite...could be but not yet. both were ranked top 5 when he won the SB. Had a good run game even in the year he won the rushed for over 120 in every playoff game..

This is the problem with the Dakstans - they compare Dak to someone like Mahomes and claim Mahomes isn't elite but throw out a bunch of BS stats trying to prove Dak is. Mahomes has been to 4 straight AFCCG's with 2 super bowls and somehow he isn't elite. Meanwhile, Dak has 1 playoff win for his 6 year career and somehow he's elite while super bowl champions are not.

You see what happened to him when his team played bad this year early..he needed help just like every QB. so if its just stats how does that compare to what Brady, Manning and others did in a much diferent time? Mahomes threw for less than TB12 at 44 so if Mahomes is elite ..what are Brady and Rodgers? If winning one while being pretty accurate by todays standards is elite what is Aikman..if being kinda mobile in a league that doesnt allow the QB to be hit what is our #12...again those guys are elite..Mahomes is a good young QB.

If Mahomes is elite then your going to need another label for the guys i mentioned.

I love Dak. Love that he got his contract. Even loved Romo when he was playing here. But, it's conversations like this that sour me on players, even ones that I wholeheartedly supported. It's just like the Dak haters who fell in love with Andy Dalton last year. It's just absolutely crazy to me.

I remember people said some of the same things about Peyton Manning and Elway because he didn't win a Superbowl until his last 2 years in the league. Mahomes is definitely elite and he has a great offensive coordinator designing great plays as well.

Now nobody can sit there and say whether a player will or will not become elite after just 5 years. Every quarterback who became elite in the NFL didn't start off being elite in their first 5 years. Some have and some haven't. So there is no concrete way to say Dak will or won't. I respect your opinion tho....

Dude let go of the whole Dak thing said from the start Mahomes is better, maybe your definition of legend defers from mine...if Mahomes never played another down he would not pass anyone i listed as a legend. I'm saying if he is already elite you need another catagory for the other QB's i listed..Dak was nowhere in that list. Again Mahomes is a good young QB who has won a SB..If Burrows wins one this year and never again how big is your elite QB list gonna get?
