Dak will be Dak.

People bringing up how long it took Manning or Stafford to win anything while completely ignoring the skill gap between Manning and Stafford when compared to Dak is just comedy to me.
They either don’t have enough football savvy to see it or they have a totally different agenda all together that has nothing to do with football.

I think Troy was a better leader than Romo ever was, and far better under intense pressure, like the playoffs. Sure, Romo was better about some things but it's not just a straight up comparison where one is better in every category. It's hard to compare them when they played under such vastly different conditions and they played such different styles. Romo played more like Favre.

At this point, I believe both were better in general and in most areas than Dak, but Dak is a better leader than Romo was and Dak's book isn't finished yet. There's room to grow. We shall see.

Dak's heading into his 7th year and will soon be 29. But whatever.

I'm intrigued. What "growth" have you witnessed over the last 6 years? The result always seems to be about the same to me.

He's shown better mechanics throwing, for one. His mechanics regressed after his injury this year for whatever reason, but did you miss the part where he missed most of a season due to injury? The 6 years is misleading. Romo took years to get better too. QB's grow with time. Anyone who refuses to see that don't seem to have a grasp of the intricacies of the position and how O-line play affects them.

Do I think Dak is elite? No. Do I think he's top five? No. Do I think he's capable of helping the team get to the SB? With the right pieces around him and solid coaching and an owner that stops meddling enough to let the coaches do their jobs, yes I do. Do I think that's going to happen? Probably not.

But I do expect Dak to continue to improve, especially since he works to in the off-season. Romo did that too. So do most QB's.

For all the deniers that paste statistics without context to claim Dak wasn’t struggling or just lazily attribute his struggles directly to his calf injury to excuse his play…

From NFL.com

Dak's play sunk after a Week 6 calf injury, but his struggles ran deeper than the injury. "I wouldn't say it lingered as long as people gave me the excuse of it," Prescott said on The Rich Eisen Show during Super Bowl week. "I went through a period of time during the season where I just didn't play my best ball."

Here i thought he would just come out and say...OL sucked, Zeked really sucked, and my offense was predictable and Coop and Ceedee were loafing.

Go figure.

How many times were the OL shifted around? How many games did Tyron miss?

How many different defenses where the offensive game plan sucked and DID NOT adjust?

How's the OL coach fairing?

Penalties were thru the roof. Daks fault? Zekes fault? Pollard's fault?

You wear obtuse well.

Your post is chock full of irony rather than truth.

I really don't know if some of you really believe the stuff you say or you just like saying things.

It's always someone else's fault.

The same thing this forum got mad at TO for doing, you all constantly do it.

I don't give him any leeway for the calf injury. Quarterbacks play injured. No way a sore calf on the quarterback is shutting a team down for weeks. Skipping the bad teams along the way.

There was a clear difference in his play. All players play injured, but that doesn't mean it doesn't affect their play. I'm not sure with Dak that it was physical at the end of the season, though. I think he took a mental step back from a good place he was in physically and mechanically. It's a bit like a kicker getting the yips. Hopefully, he can correct whatever it was. Hopefully, he and the coaches are studying every little difference between first-half-season Dak and second-half-season Dak.

Well...at least he's not as delusional or in to making excuses for his play as some of his fans. Didn't even hear him mention how terrible one of the best offensive lines in the NFL was once...

He was what he's always been... A guy who hit his ceiling his rookie year and never improved. He's just average.

he’s wholesale improved that’s not even debatable. he just also regressed after as well lol

Dak did not struggle. He faced better competition and played up to his talent level.

Players have a bad day and so a bad game. Thats those days where you "struggle".
Playing crap over 10 Weeks is not a struggle. It shows who you are and what you are able to do.

I too am glad he didn't lie about the line and his WRs.

Same tired and recycled talking points. All I said was that the offense INCLUDING PRESCOTT!!!! - deserves criticism, not just one player. Pretty simple stuff. Thread after thread turn into a hit piece and it's lazy.

If you are blind and obvilious to fans here who witch hunt the living crap out of Prescott - you're being obtuse. They are clearly routing for him to fail. It's obvious.
LOL....you make up stuff and use the "dak hater" routine....then accuse ME of "same tired and recycled talking points". That's rich.

Yes we have some that hound dak....about the same amount that endlessly defend dak form every (even fair) criticism. Regardless claims they make to the contrary.

It is my opinion that SB is not some easy task and as well as QB it also takes a team to achieve it. As great as Manning was that SB eluded him and it took 9 years to finally get it. Same with Matt Ryan. Evidently we have fans who think this is some easy task and a 1 man show and that really tells me a lot of about how hollow their knowledge really is.

You have to remeber some of these same posters told everyone Mahomes would have 2 or 3 SB by now...that Burrows is on his way to many right now...Josh Allen...Rodger's was a shoe in for multiples...They can not seperate TB12 situation from the rest of cap era QB's. Again odds are stacked against all of them returning. Its that hard to do.

The telling Story will be if Dak gets one..what will they credit it too, odds are his one will match the QB's listed because you know that hard to do thing.

The operable word "if". And so far...nothing. But, lets be patient, it's only year 7 coming up so he has at least 10 more years to get it right...maybe.

For sure but some act like its TB12 second comming everytime a QB looks good...and its GREATLY slanted to 0-1 now more than multiple SB's..Again everyone thought A-Rod would have won another in the last 10 years..right?

Helped get us 11 of the 12 wins this season. Get better. We need playoff wins. We need a run game. Have to be able to get teams out of 4 man fronts. It’s funny because we used to beg for 4 man fronts. We would run all day long. Teams had to stack the line.

Dak just doesn’t trust his arm. He’s too turnover adverse. If the receiver is open he throws it. He doesn’t trust himself to throw the 50/50, back shoulder and tight window throws unless it’s too late. That’s why you see a different Dak in the fourth quarter when they are down. He has no choice but to try those types of throws.
He’s a slow read.

When I clearly spelled it out that I was including Prescott in on the offensive suckage, that's just not good enough. Lol.
