It’s clear you like the moves and cuts… but these were all guys this FO signed and extended— so if they were all bad apples like you suggest— why pay them big money to begin with? But I digress
We can certainly have different opinions about the offseason. No problem there— but there are some objective facts to consider as well:
1. To this point— the roster is less talented in 2022 vs 2021. Do you agree?
2. The FO has chosen to maintain the status quo on the coaching staff… and not to add any significant upgrades via FA (to this point).
You have a point. They may add some guys after the draft— and they had some success adding some FAs last year that performed well.
That said— this roster was clearly not good enough last year to contend. Your “addition by subtraction” approach is flawed in my opinion. It’s propped up on the expectation that rookies and less expensive players will all play above their expected production levels.
Your optimism fits right in with the FO’s approach lol… You may be right. Maybe it all comes together and unicorns and rainbows will abound in Big D
From my perspective this looks like a 8-10 win team that may be good enough to win the East but is simply not able to compete with GB, TB, or LAR at this point. What do you anticipate their record to be?
No
dont agree we shall see after 17 games played correct your opinion holds no validity until after the season. Names dont always equate to talent and or production.... sorry
happens all around the league signings i mean Watsons 230mil deal with his impending issues and no history of truly winning squat gets full guaranteed deal from team hes yet to play for lmao right you sure understand sports umm nope you dont contracts are handed out all over the pace to talented players who becomes a headache or underperform and then cut loose. Happens ALL THE TIME!!!
ac got his money because we have no idea Lamb would fall to sue if lamb was drafted before ac was signed i guarantee dallas doesn't offer him the same deal.sorry was just bad timing..collins dropped off after his deal both suspensions and injury gregory didnt lie the clause and left but the clause was needed ie knucklehead clause.
I dotn think there a drastic drop off from collins to steele, gregory to Folwer or Lamb taking over for AC , Washington is an Equal swap for Wilson. Just isnt as bad as it appears .drafts coming more FAs coming and battles in camp a surprising player or two could step up like Farniok, ball and yes even McGovern
its what OTAS, camps, and preseason is truly for..find those next guys,.
last offseason None thought steele would do well after they heard LC being suspended. He played bater than expected.noone thought one of those FA players like Hooker, kazee, neal, or kearse would do anything , they all were far better then expectations and this camp could also have soem of those surprises/
