We are really happy fans with higher expectations for the QB position. The Dakies are the ones that had to watch their golden boy being exposed. All the years of defending Dak and it has to hurt knowing that it was wasted time. He proved all of us critics right with his stellar play in the second half of the season and that ugly playoff loss. No we are not miserable. I have a big smile on my face every time I see the Dakies try to defend him. It also makes me smile to see the fans that have wised up about Dak and now see that he is not the answer.
Dakota Prescott with his fellow Dakies.....Staubach & Troy :lmao2:Dak Haters are Brainless

I told you your schtick of "oh, 25 pages incoming" ran it's course.

Now that you've been wrong a few times it seems you've adopted the new schtick of "the usual suspects always show up".

You should've changed your username along your posting habits when you had the chance. You could've hid behind a new username and had a 2nd chance.

So when he directly refutes your claims that Dak "doesn't have great arm talent or the ability to read a defense. " is he high? stupid? or just flat wrong.

Kurt did say early in the video that great QB's do it "consistently." It's that last word that Dak needs to work on. He's still easily confused by decent defenses. See the playoff game. He's getting better though. I think the playoff game is related to whatever was bothering him in the last half of the season. We can hope that was a hiccup.

Getting better?

If last season was any indication he has gotten significantly worse. I believe his fear of using his legs has made him a worse QB. When he was confused by defenses in the past he could make up for it by gaining a few yards with his legs, now he refuses to do that, so he just makes bad throwing decisions instead.

Basically, instead of running for 4 yards on 3rd and 3 he will try and fit it into a tight window to Noah Brown instead.

While he did get worse last year, it was after his injury. Before that he was playing excellently, especially considering missing so much time from the previous year's injury. I think he got worse last year because something mental was going on and I don't think it was just a fear of using his legs. He looked lost and afraid to throw during a lot of that playoff game.

I ripped him enough for the end of the season and am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for next season. He gets no excuses for poor play, however. He's a good, but not great, QB. He's vastly overpaid for what he provides. Can he get better? We'll see. But the rest of the team needs to step up too. With a few exceptions, the entire team laid an egg in the playoffs. It wasn't just Dak.

Every time one of our receivers takes his eyes off the ball before his fingers make contact with it and it results in a drop, he should be hit with a taser when he gets back to the sideline. This happens way too often.

The fact that you have no clue about why he and the offense struggled more in the 2nd half of the year shows how little you understand QB play and how the offense works in general.

Its a very very easy and simple analysis. In fact, its been mostly the same consistent problem with this offense over the last 4 or 5 years. Its real easy to see because most of the time the run game and Zeke falters at the exact same time Dak that the passing game does.

Now what could be a big problem that would affect both the passing game and the run game at the very same time? Hmmmmmmm.......................I wonder

Ill give you a big hint....................The Cowboys FO has been talking about it being the #1 weakness of the team. All other analysts agree and most have mocked us to take one with our first pick in the draft.

Ill give you another big one.................when the best QB in the NFL Mahomes lost a couple of them going into the SB he couldnt even score a TD and could only muster 9 points.

Why not just say that you believe Dak needs carried by an elite run game instead of this "Dak is elite" schtick that you do?

An "elite QB" does not need to be carried by an elite run game, Roy.

I like Dak's passion, even if he's not perfect, he's competitive! I guess I'd be too, if it made me a millionaire . . . :flagwave:

He's come a long way......glad to have him. Look no further than 8-10 looking for a new QB. Hell, THREE in our own division but that doesn't mean dilly do unless we take advantage......like now!

'Dak 7': Dallas Cowboys' Prescott still motivated by QBs taken before him

Maybe he should start getting his motivation elsewhere.... this particular motivation aint doing too much.

The "usual suspects" works both ways....Dak jock sniffers are always trying to prop him up. After going on 7 years, i think that has run its course. He is what he is.. an overpaid average QB with a weak arm and now deteriorating mobility. And can't read defenses worth a darn.

I still don't get why he feels he was "slighted" on draft day?

He's acting like he was supposed to be this 1st round pick but got passed up like he's Aaron Rodgers in 05.

He was NEVER supposed to be a high pick. NFL.com had him as an "average backup" coming into the draft. His scouting report is still, to this day, spot on.

I think what it comes down to is teams with good defenses give him and this offense problems but that can be said for every team in the nfl. I don't get into the Dak vs Romo thing because I like them both. They have a few similarities and a few differences and you can win with either.

What I like about Dak is what a few here dislike and that's his avoidance of turnovers. You here it mentioned when they say he won't throw it unless a wr is wide open, slow to read, etc. Romo was sometimes a gambler and put the ball in harms way , which admittedly is needed at times, but I prefer the oldschool approach of taking care of the ball and playing good defense because in the end it's the good defenses that give everyone problems.
