The Cowboys have the players, but not the coaching. Their major flaw is Kellen Moore. Dude sucks. He can't keep calling stick routes, where the X and Y receivers have an option of turning inside or outside. No QB in the league can make that read consistently. And that's why some fans think Dak has a problem reading defenses. But it's not Dak's fault, it's Moore's. Dude sucks. Not to mention all the runs up the middle on first down and telegraphing our run plays. As long as Moore is our play caller the offense will sputter and stink at times. Dude sucks.

P.S.- If y'all can't tell, I'm not too fond of this Moore guy. Dude sucks.

One reason Mike needs to be ready to take over play calling imo.

The fans who believe the Cowboys will win the Super Bowl this year believe they’ll win it every year. Every Super Bowl the Cowboys won you could see it coming. They were all great teams that were on the brink. This current Cowboys team isn’t close to being on the brink. They couldn’t even get past the wildcard round last season at home.

In all of NFL history, no QB who took more than 85 starts to reach his first conference championship game has ever won a SB with the team that drafted him.

Bit of an odd defence, but I think this team might actually be better. Point one, most of the team is young. As in, they've been in the league less than 3 years. Point two, it was their first playoff game. As such, perhaps it was inexperience in the playoffs. The core of the team is very young. So, they will get better. In fact, Gregory, who was on the team in 2018, was suspended so he didn't play (and is now in Denver). And, when they do, we will be better. I prefer to look at last season as a hope inspiring season. We went from 6-10 with no QB to a very good 12-5 record. Yes, the playoffs didn't go as planned. However, it's not often we go 12-5. Additionally, most of our coaching staff is improved. Mike is an improvement over Garrett. Quinn was outstanding. Our ST was good if not for Zurelein. Hopefully, our new kicker will be more reliable. That's probably what separated us from the top seed afterall. A better kicker and a bit more experience should lead to us going a bit farther. I don't think we will win 12 games, but I can see us winning at least 10 and at least one playoff game this season.

The team might be better than expected but it’s not going to win the Super Bowl. That would be a total surprise! However, the Cowboys do tend to play better when everyone is down on them. It’s unfortunate that everyone has to crap on them to motivate them.

Glad I saw this thread today as I was just laughing to a friend that I've entered that bit of the off season where I'm completely and utterly convinced Cowboys will win the Superbowl

It's a lovely place to be before the inevitable fall....

You mean before the drugs wear off.

:lmao2::lmao2::lmao::lmao::lmao::laugh::laugh:

Nobody. Haven't heard one person say that.

With the commitment to the youth movement and the tougher schedule, if the Cowboys went 12-5 again and actually made it to the 2nd round that would be an admirable achievement for this group.

I think this year will be more difficult than last season.

They can. It is not impossible. They have a better shot than a lot of the other teams at this point. BUT, I think most Cowboy fans view it as unlikely. Very unlikely.

As of today, right now, I think the majority of us expect the team to win a nice amount of games, make the playoffs and bomb out early. Pretty much follow their recent pattern. But, oh, would it ever be sweet if they did get on a roll and go to the big game and even win!!!

Well, and I think we are trending for a Super Bowl in the near future. I'm going to make another point as well by asking a question. As I was born in 1992, what was the feeling in 1991 and 1992? Cuz, I think it's interesting that we went 6-10 and then went to the playoffs, and developed from there. I'm curious what the mood was like in those offseasons.
