I don’t think we’re trending for a Super Bowl in the near future. I’ve seen all five of the Cowboys Super Bowl wins and this team is not trending in the direction those teams were. In the early 90s the Cowboys were trending upward. In 1989 the Cowboys went 1-15. In 1990 they went 7-9. In 1991 they went 11-5 and made the playoffs, winning a playoff game on the road with a backup QB. The team was getting better every year. Many thought the Cowboys were heading for the Super Bowl in 92 including myself. It was like a tsunami you could see it coming. The current Cowboys teams can’t seem to build on success. Every time they have a playoff season they take a step back the following year. When they made the playoffs in 2018 they proceeded to miss the playoffs the next three seasons. I’m not so sure they’re going to even make the playoffs this season. I think they’re going to struggle to win 10 games.

Well, I hope we get there soon, cuz, as a young fan, I'm starting to lose hope in this team and am wondering if I'm wasting my time rooting for the Cowboys.

You’re young you have plenty of time to see them reach a Super Bowl. No assurances they’ll ever get back to one but at least time is on your side.

Which, as I said, is a nice season considering how young the team was and how everyone was picking Washington or the Giants last year (as in the "experts") over us. Yet, with our young team, we managed to sweep the division and finish the regular season 12-5. We all want to go further. However, I think that will come as the players become more experienced.

Look, I for one, and for the two voices in me head, predicted and still predict the emergeance of the Eagles and the Washington Team and perhaps topple the Cowboys. Maybe even this year. The Egirls seem legitmate.

To win a super bowl team needs 3 basic elements

30+ sacks at a minimum ( the cowboys had 30 last year ) : pass

A strong coach with a winning strategy , and has control of personnel and instill discipline ( cowboys had one of most penalized squads , and multiple unexplained game decisions : fail

an elite QB , if the defense is not elite , who can read defenses and make difficult vertical throws consistently and with accuracy; fail

I always hope, but I have trouble believing it because we were already not as good as some of the teams that finished ahead of us last year and they did more in free agency to get better.

We have to hope that not only do we hit on multiple draft picks better than those teams do, but that our cheaper FAs turn out to be finds like Kearse last year, that our coaches do a much better job and that our returning players do a much better job. It's a lot to ask.

Haven't thought dallas was going to win a superbowl since the last one besides the 07 season. Almost jumped on the sb wagon in 14 but what happened was what I expected. I see a good season happening this season but obviously no superbowl.
