He should never play another down in the NFL and should be serving a lengthy prison term…pretty disgusting how men can treat females and essentially walk away unscathed…

No one has the right to inappropriately touch another person …. NO ONE…

The NFL is an embarrassment.

Watson's behavior is disgusting... but you are saying that is a guy in a bar grabs a waitress arse he should be in prison? Im not saying it is ok to touch a waitress, IM just trying to understand what you think the punishment should be for doing so.

so you think the NFL and their players invented abuse of woman? My earliest childhood memory I have is my dad beating the hell out of my mom with a belt. Sexual abuse of woman is as old as mankind. This is a societal problem, I am not sure why people expect the NFL to be the entity to deal with it. Society as a whole is responsible for dealing with the problem.
Great point and we expect the NFL to be the moral compass. I think the league should have stayed out of this from the start.

Yeah, Deshaun is freak more then a criminal. I wonder how much money did he pay for the settlement.
A freak? He is a typical 25 year old man who has been priveleged when it comes to women his entire life. He is 1 of millions of men that do crap like this every day.

Lots of OJs types get acquitted for murdering their spouses. Happens all the time sadly.
And grand juries fail to send criminals to trial so saying 2 failed to bring charges does hold water like you stated. The fact that he shows no remorse or failed to apologize says volumes, just pay them to go away. Sad way to look at it.

The leagues team didnt find her credible? That makes no sense. It was the police that didnt think there was enough evidence to convict so they didnt press charges. Her word against his.

The league obviously found her somewhat credible as they suspended Zeke.
Actually brother. The lead investigator recommended no suspension. Because the witness wasn't credible. Don't let your hatred of Zeke on the field crucify him off the field lol

Other than Zeke shouldn't have been suspended as there were significant questions of credibility against the accuser in that case. I'm aware Goodell didn't make this decision. However, my objection is that the suspension for Zeke stood despite the only person from the league office, according to https://www.___GET_REAL_URL___/s/www.cb...ase-reportedly-recommended-no-suspension/amp/, to meet with the accuser recommending no suspension for Zeke.
Wasnt the judge in NY also an ex lawyer of the NFL? The one who took the injunction away?

The judge who reviewed this said he was a sexual predator but only did 6 games because that appears to be the NFLs usual punishment for this conduct, which should be a great embarrassment to NFL and Goodell. With word like assault and sexual predator in the ruling it will be hard for Goodell to not appeal, and if not he will lose all credibility when it comes to promoting women rights to a safe harassment free workplace that it appears doesn’t now exist in the NFL which is truly sad.
Pay attention... im gonna get deep here. If you read any cstate criminal code on sexual assault, the state legislature will actually define the type of behavior they are criminalizing. So SEXUAL ASSAULT will be defined by the state. The NFL had no such definition prior to Watson doing what he did. So at the hearing, the league defined what they felt that term to mean. The judge accepted their definition saying it is their league, they can define what sexual assault is.

She specifically states using the LEAGUES definition of sexual assault, Watson did in fact do said beh

and expecting the NFL to be some moral compass says a whole lot about the people that expect it to be so IMO. This is why I have never once wavered in my opinion that if a player is not in jail, Im ok with them playing in the NFL.

If a player is free to work at McDonalds then they are free to start at RB on Sunday if they are good enough.

I love it when we dealwith legal stuff in here. Its amazing how the facts of what actually went down are twisted to the point of not even being recognizable to fit someone's narrative.

I am just glad this is coming to an end. This has gone on for far too long and like the other non-football related items the media grabs, run into the ground.

Having a hook up with a massage therapist is not surprising to people who live in the real world. Watson just has the money to get many therapists with no problem. I think people have an issue with the fact that he can have those types of hook ups.

im gonna go deep here......... so, here is what the judge actually was saying. In criminal code, criminal behavior is defined. So if I am going to say you were guilty of sexual assault, that term would have been defined in the criminal code. The NFL had no such definition in the CBA. They had many behaviors that they said you could be punished for, yet those behaviors were not defined. She was politely slapping them. During the arbitration hearing the NFL THEN defined those behaviors and applied them to Watson. In a criminal case, this would have NEVER been allowed. The judge allowed it, conceding that this is a business and the NFL owns the business and they can define the behaviors they want punished.

So, she admits that she is using the NFL's definition of said words. There is absolutely a distinction..... just one that would be missed by 95% of the people in here that didnt read the ruling at all or didnt read it closely.

Watson does not think he did anything wrong. He truly believes that.

But the panel of 4 recommended disciplinary action so the league, Goodell, had little choice but to act.

I don't know if the NFL tries for transparency but they sure as hell can't keep anything from leaking top the media. Do they actually have some employees with the title Anonymous Source?

uhmm.... you might be missing the fact I liked your post and was agreeing with you. My post was in regards to those in here that use their own facts vs the actual facts. you know, those "Alternative facts," we learned about.
