The wr position is in shambles. This front office is TTTRRRAAAASSSSHHHHHH

Not so sure. When I think about it, our best offense may be the 12 with Fergeson, Schultz, Tolbert and Lamb... I'm not as down on our WRs as some. I think we can figure it out between Houston, Roberson, Fehoko, Vasher, Turpin.

That said, I wouldn't be upset to see them sign someone like Sanders or Fuller. If they do that, though, it will likely be a bit in the future, because the more time that goes by, the more likely we are to get a cap-friendly deal.

Barr is still only 30. Could be a better signing than I originally thought. Basically a $3M contract (with incentives).

Along with Wolf Hunter and Jabril Cox, they'll free Micah to go terrorize QBs from everywhere.

Me likey

I agree...brings us a thug mentality and physicality mindset we haven't had around here really since Jimmy was the HC. We had thugs at linebacker, DT, end. Seems we have that again in spades. I think SAM the Bam Williams will be that quickly, especially learning from Barr. I am excited yet I am tempering my excitement.

I agree. While we have massive question marks there at wr, we also have the element of surprise going for us. The first 8 games will be a learning experience for the wr's. I see opportunity for the group. BTW.. a big yes 2 signing Sanders. I like that mix.

The size of our our LB core is nuts. Everyone one of them sans Cox is over 250lbs and tall.
and they can run like a deer. If they can get the mental aspect down quickly regarding the reads, we will be dangerous.

Jimmy was big n team speed at linebacker. The Tuna liked size at LB. We have that.

There was a time we lost lots of sleep worrying about the D. Things have changed......now we can only hope the offense can handle their business.

Apparently Quinn wants both. That may be why we were never in on Nakobe Dean when he kept falling.

outside of DT Quinn is shaping this thing quite nicely. Big, long, fast dudes all over the D.

I love it. The Pats use tall LBs and their defenses have always been stout.

This is year 2 under DQ. I expect the defense to be top 10 this year. I think they were 12th last year IIRC.

^this^ . If we ever get both sides working in tandem like we need 2, we will be a SB team. I see us like a circa 2000 Ravens team in the making with the roster. We just need a Vet WR 2 add in, like Sanders. He will help the guys alot I feel.

No way. He’s a big part of the defense. I was really just talking about the rush guys though… or a possible combination that Quinn could use to let Barr rush the QB.

The truth probably is that Barr will rush the passer very little.
Keanu Neal rarely was sent on a blitz. Same for Vander Esch. Barr has the capacity to make that more of a reality.

A while back Broaddus said he was wanting 11 million.
I'm sure he wanted a lot more, but Broaddus makes stuff up and back tracks on it constantly. I used to like him but I'm realizing he seldom has any "inside" info and seldom knows what he is talking about but his minions for some reason treat his ramblings as fact. Even his player evaluation has been really poor. Just my two cents and not jumping down your throat or anything

Well, at least it's a signing of some sort. Fun to see any kind of free agency life out of this front office these days. I will take a wait-and-see approach to this one, but I don't hate it. Time will tell, as it always does.
