Dak is about to rehab under a daunting, ominous cloud these next two months. I suggest they plan his next start on back-to-back road games to help ease the pounding.

No longer are the blinders on half the Cowboys fandom. We all support him as a good dude who gives it his all, but half of us also haven't believed he was the guy for a very long time, and certainly not worth the elite salary cap space he takes up. That debate has eaten up the majority of the bandwidth on this site for several years.

No more debate. Now, nobody in their right mind still believes he can carry the team in clutch moments against good teams while eating up piles of the cap at the same time. The boos grew louder and longer last night as the game wore on. The end was a broken hand and an ugly image of people throwing things at him as he went in for treatment. C'mon Cowboy fans, be better than that. Sheesh.

I haven't heard it like that in the stadium ever, especially when it was all aimed primarily at a single player. Passes were behind and over the heads of receivers from the second drive on. It got uglier and uglier, especially the double-clutching and unwillingness to throw the ball at times.

Dak still doesn't trust his arm. Clearly.

There he stood, eyes, like saucers on the sidelines, as if he's trapped in a bootloop he can't resolve. Want-to and work ethic can't seem to fix the shortcomings, or his would be fixed. He's truly a first-class guy who gives it all he's got. And this is all he's got.

Now, two-plus seasons that have featured a AC joint sprain, dislocated ankle, lat/shoulder strain, calf strain, broken hand.....they're piling up quicker and earlier than they did with Romo. Romo was the picture of health compared to this guy to this point in their careers.

I wonder what the team thinks. Cooper lost confidence in Dak, and that got him a ticket out of here. Other teams toy with him in the media. He's nobody's darling anymore.

This return will define Dak quickly and forever. He's got to let go of his insecurities and just play. Let it be whatever it is. Turn it loose.

That's his only out of this dark hole and back into Cowboys fans' hearts and minds.
Dak played bad....but ticked off fans won't delete his bank account...live with it...

It's worse than people realize. Not only is Dak not the guy but then everybody's pinning their hopes on the Joneses to fix everything that's the biggest joke of it all.

That’s the sad, pathetic time warp we’re stuck in!

Dak has to be the luckiest QB to ever wear the Cowboys jersey. He lucks into a perfect situation as a rookie, with a team built to win and great Oline. Then he injures his ankle and parlays his garage stats into tricking Jerry to give his a huge contract just as he was being exposed. And now, as the league and fans are really starting to see he is at best an average QB with limited arm strength and defense reading abilities, he gets hurt again and gives Jerry a reason to give him more time. Next excuse for Dak sucking will be that he needs time to let the thumb heal and get back to form. He will play out his contract with excuse after excuse. Jerry and his idiot son are too stupid to do anything different.

I kinda feel bad for Kellen Moore. He is hamstrung by Dak. Dan Quinn has improved the defense so no more garage stats at end of games. No more top offenses statistically and no more head coaching opportunities. Moore should take a head coaching job in college or OC job with another team and prove himself with a better QB. The Dak era has to end ASAP. There is no hope of a SB with Dak as QB. His salary severely prevents the team from getting better. Jerry and son are too stupid to work with their constraints like the Rams and other teams do.

This team is already hamstrung with the owners. However it will get nowhere while that fraud of a QB is playing. Good grief tank and try for something better. It might not work but it's better than the groundhog Day we have with Prescott.

Given how badly he sucked in game one, whatever got into his head last season is still there. He had all off-season to get it right. Sadly, I think he's done.

Dak should have played every game in preseason. He is not good enough to start the season in September. I never thought he was worth the contract he secured, but I also could not answer the question; who is the alternative?

What we have here is a typical Jerry Jones %^&$show.

They didn't draft Sam Howell because Dak's feelings would have been hurt.

"Where we are right now, it's all excitement. It is," Prescott said. "It's truly a privilege to be the
quarterback of this team, to be a leader of these guys, offense, defense, this coaching staff
that we have. And yeah, especially with everything being said about us -- you know what I mean?
-- the lack of what we have, keep writing, keep talking.

We're ready to go play."

Dak Prescott
Once he's out of surgery, he needs to avoid the writing and talking because he's not going to like it.

It's one thing to get injured but the way he was playing before that happened is going to be the topic of discussion. He talked like he was ready for the season; he did not play like it.

Just stop. Do you watch? He's just awful when it matters. He has to be carried. The rest of the league LOVES to play Dak because he's simple to defend.

If the team doesn't quit like they did on Dalton, things won't look worse the next 8 games.

In fact, the last time Cooper and Lamb had a good game, Rush was the QB. Dak is their kryptonite. He was ridiculous against the 49ers and even worse last night.

Wake up.

Yep anyone can play behind this line.
Some can some can't. Joey B in Cincinnati last year got beat to a pulp because his O line was god awful and he got his team to the Super Bowl. Dac has never ever had that type of talent. He has limited accuracy, bad mechanics and doesn't read defenses worth a damn. Likeable guy and a hard worker but far from elite.

He was much worse last night. We had a shot at winning the SF game. We had no shot last night.
Sadly, you can't closely compare the talent we had on the field last night to what we had when we played San Fran last year. We are far far worse on Offense.
