Ugh, another mistake. Let the guy heal for at least 4 weeks and open a roster spot, so when he does come back he has no limitations.

Jerry…..selling tickets. He’s afraid he will lose the season with fans thanks to poor job with OL, poor job with WR, poor job at backup QB. Jerry would rather have Dak occupy that roster spot and keep taking the fans’ money than use it on another player and have fans walk away.

Everyone who thought this season was lost in the off-season by the front office’s handling of the offensive roster was correct. We will win some games, but even before Dak’s injury, there was no chance this team would do as well as last year’s team. Even the talk about toughness in the playoffs was BS. Moore still refuses to run the ball. Nothing changed except the defense picked up more depth while the OL and WR groups crumbled.

He won't be the same this year. I've had this happen to me. 1 year min. Yes, he will heal, grip strength and touch is something else.
I broke my thumb playing basketball when I was a kid. It took me 8 weeks to be able to handle a basketball again and probably 12 weeks to have full range of motion. It is an absolute joke for this team to think a QB whose grip is absolutely critical to his ability to pass or even hand off would be ready to play in 4-6 weeks. Just pathetic.

To be fair to him he is getting significantly better medical care than you, or I, would be getting though I do not imagine that even with current advances a 2-3 month injury can be cut down to 3-4 week injury.

I wonder what's the severity of the injury. @jazzcat22 made a good observation with Brees only missing 5 games, he injured it in a similar way as Dak with hitting his hand on another players hand and also had surgery on his thumb

Translation : “We are too cheap to trade / sign anybody. This allows them to not make any moves what so ever. They want Rush to hopefully win the New York and Washington games. That will put Dallas at 2-3 when Dak returns”

Why? You know they're just going to blame his poor play on his hand still being hurt fir the rest of the year and say "he's battling through it." Jones is the slyest smooth brain I've ever witnessed.
That's fine and all, but the fans were literally throwing trash at him. That's a different level of fed up.

When has that ever happened for the Cowboys? I don't think Jerry will just ignore things like that.

So Jerry is all in on tanking. Only explanation I can see to put a guy without a working thumb under center.
