Yeah, I've tried that and usually I get that stone-face look followed by her comment, "I know people".

Needless to say, I very carefully chose my battles.

Good afternoon Pops and Popsadoodles. I've got some confessing to do.

Years ago, after my marriage failed, I declared my heart and idiot which can't be trusted. No more leading me around and getting my heart broken! If I fall, it will be through counseling with my brain. There will be many sessions and I will proceed with caution. There, that particular life problem is taken care of. That is up until this past May and all summer.

I wasn't expecting anything out of the ordinary. I was with a group of friends when someone joined us. I thought, ok if the others get along with him then I can to. He immediately picked a fight with me. I'm all WTH is wrong with you? He laughs it off. Must be some kind of friend hazing. I blew it off until the next time we met and he picked another fight. It wasn't anything vile, just getting under my skin. I planned to avoid him because I'm a dyed in the wool pacifist unless it regards my family or the Cowboys.

He continued and by now I'm barking back at him. I haven't fought anyone since I was a kid and found that I was enjoying it. My friends backed up and let us have at it. I tried several times to smooth things over, but he wouldn't have it. In time I started out chewing him out the second I saw him. He became nice and then took off running. If I ever see him again, I'll beat the crap out of him. Since it was only a few months, I expect my heart to straighten up and settle down. Stupid heart.

I'm sorry if this was the one that got away.

Is beating the crap out of him foreplay for you?

This would be one seriously dysfunctional relationship...but that's okay, as long as you're happy.

Good Sunday morning Pops and Friends,

We've had a 2+ year old black bear cub (guessing the age by the size, 200+ lbs) hanging around our house the past few days. Our security cams normally catches him around 1-2 am on our patio; caught him early one morning sitting in my Adirondack deck chair.

This morning was different. We heard hissing, growling, scratching and then a very distinctive and strong skunk smell drifted into our open bedroom window.

The cam caught the bear approach the skunk more in a "let's check this out" than "let's eat this" mind set. It didn't end well for the bear.

Now, there is still the faint, aromatic stench of skunk outside our house.

LOL, thanks Runny. I think he is the one that got away. I'm through crying over him. I wanted to tell my CZ family so y'all won't think I'm a robot that can't complete one simple paint job. No, the bathroom isn't finished but I did finish some of the plumbing projects in there. There is no leaking for the time being.

Beating the crap out of someone isn't foreplay. He just kept coming at me with verbal sword play. I'm not one to argue but eventually released the kraken on him. I guess that's what got to me, he came at me sideways and got around my defenses. He's one of the nicest people I've met when it comes to everyone else. I just need to watch 20/20 and Dateline more, a lot more.

Ah yes, ksk the king of deviants. I can't help but rattle his cage from time to time.
