The offense needs to clean up their play in the Redzone.
The defense needs to clean up against the run.
When Dallas got ahead Washington started throwing more which plays to our defense strengths.
It was a good game and we won. We're going to need to do better to beat LA.

McGovern was on skates in pass protection. Farniok was too which led to the blocked FG. Peters has been solid at LG.
I saw Tyler Smith get beat a few times today.

I think an offense that scores 20, no matter who’s running it, is likely to go .500, though I’ve never run the analytics for teams that score 20/game. I’m not saying that’s bad, especially if QB1 is only sidelined for a short while. We were fortunate to catch Herbert when he was less than 100%, thought we should beat the WC with any QB, and we did the minimum necessary to get through the NYG. I’m a Dak fan, but if he plays like he did in the first game, we have a long season ahead of us. I’m thankful for the wins and I hope they keep coming.

Football just started and we’re almost 25% through the season. Goes by way too fast.
Last 3 weeks our defense has held their opponent under 20 points, Bengals are the only legit offense we faced. Fully understand against the better teams we are going to need to score more points.

Washington has a crap defense and it's even worse with no Chase Young. Not being able to run the ball against them was not a good look for the Cowboys.
Washington's defense is still very talented, especially up front, I believe Philly also struggled running the football, but had great success beating them through the air, like we did.

Peters already said he's ready to play all the reps.

This is Philbin being Philbin and trying to play his favorites.

Anyone who knows football understands that OL requires continuity for better cohesion, communication and chemistry.

Starting McGovern over Peters has ZERO to do with Peters stamina. ZERO.

And Schultz should have been pulled after he ran into his own player. Not only is he hurting the run and pass blocking but he's getting multiple penalties AND running around like keystone cops out there.

Both MM and KM should have pulled him instead of watching his play get increasingly worse.

MAKE THE FRACKING ADJUSTMENT.
Peters is a very good pass blocker even when tired but his run blocking was atrocious after about 10 plays yesterday.
He is definitely not in full go shape regardless of what he says.
McGovern over Farniok is more questionable, but I understand not demoting a guy while out injured as most teams would do the same.
With Martin dinged it didn't matter because all 3 OGs played a lot.
WAS best asset in that interior front. They were good yesterday and should be as DT's drafted top 25 are rare and they have 2 of them.

Zero wrong with snap counts for Gallup and Peters right now. Running them too hard is how you end up with them injured for the season.
The reward for whomever gets that LG role next week is Aaron Donald. Congrats to them I guess.

4 weeks in and 3-1, so they are doing the right things for the most part in coaching.

common sense when you look at the talent they have.
they have big, fast DT they drafted in R1.
they are the anti-Cowboys only good at DT.

Offense has been pretty meh but the defense has been great and that has worked out just fine.
You just need to find ways to win.
At season's end and you are a 2 seed over say a 5 seed an ugly win or two will make all the difference in the world.

Next two weeks it'll be hard to just rely on defense.
That's why they are looking ta options with Dak.
Seems like it might make sense to rest him one more week.
Swollen hand could use another week and beating Rams isn't really paramount to the job.
But beating Eagles is very real goal for a team that prides itself on winning the division.

1st off big win, divisional opponent 2 wins in the NFC East those are always big. Defensively outstanding, we did give up some runs for nothing sustained. Offensively glad to see Gallup back out there 2 catches not many yards but nice TD grad. Lamb played a very good game. Still lots of things this team needs to work on and improve on but anytime you come away with the win and know you can get better that is a good thing.

We had zero run game today, both backs
cant say that the un game was tegrted they overplayed it and zeke made them stay honest as well as KM sticking with it.,.its necessary they are choosing to load up on the run game and try and make Rush makes some plays and so far he is.

So keep feeding the guy who can't even manage a WHOLE YARD????
right pollard slobbers wont admit 2 games now under 2.0 YPC

I like the 1-2 punch but tired of the pollard needs to be the starter., games like yesterday when you need to force feed and blow open no holes for 3-4 yard runs is what starting back must do. zeke lept the defense in the box they knew they had to stop the run to have shot..they were right first half was close.

Correction.

1 win team.

May as well be zero win team, they are that bad.

Philly embarrassed them last week but they were more competitive vs Cowboys through 3 quarters.

they had their intact d line vs us. and we’re still playing our backup qb, and we won.

Philly beat them 24-8

We beat them 25-10

Our problem was not finishing drives and kicking FGs. Philly had 3 tds, 1 fg last week. We had 2 tds, 3 fgs this one. Yards allowed were similar. Eagles did have more yards on offense though. All passing (Eagles had trouble rushing as well - 72 yards on 30 carries), but given they are not playing a backup QB, I would hope so.

Neither is hardly more embarrassing than the other imo.

yeah, think the biggest difference is they converted their pressures into sacks. i imagine it was a more mentally challenging game for wentz as well

Yes, even if it wasn't working they continued to stay with it as Washington couldn't adjust for the pass.

it wasn't working because that what they chose to overload on..if they let up then we run more efficiently. they had to choose pollard and Zeke stopped and dare rush to make play or 2.

These two roads and when we go to GB and Minnesota back to back are the hardest stretches we face all year long. Yes, divisional games are very important, but they already lost to the Bucs, have to build a strong conference record for the tie-breakers down the line. Think if we win 2 out of the 4, we are in excellent shape.

Yes, Washington forced Cooper to beat them as he eventually did.

That TD to Gallup was a beauty.
Couldn't have done it better myself.

The TD to CeeDee was good, too. Glad CeeDee was able to catch it.
.
Defense played well, too.
And I've changed my mind on Wentz. He's not as good as Dak...not by much, tho.
