yet I CAN and did

comp% td -int ratio

i sure did ..tired of hearing that a HOF qb should not have sad little td-int 165-141 ratio Montana Blew Aikman's shoes off ,same era NOW WHAT? 273 td- 117 INT seriously its why Montana was up for league MVP many times and Aikman not sure once for his RS play,

sorry man i know its taboo but those type of comps can be made. I just said its debatable and feel at times Troy was a bus driver in the rs put up pedestrian numbers all of them jeez, dead on accuracy he had 6 seasons under 60% com % career 61% not that accurate,

..
We all have the right to be wrong, and I guess this is just your day. Congrats! Marino put up great stats and played in ONE Super Bowl with ZERO wins. As has been said many times, football is the ultimate team sport. Aikman was one of the ultimate team QBs. Montana put up better stats because that’s how those San Fran teams were built. They threw the ball a lot more because they ran the west coast offense.

"People" Lmao speak for yourself..
Hey, Im 52 watched ever single game in 1980-present, closely like a religion. nothing fair weather or average about how i watch and follow the Cowboys,

sorry, i say RS troy was overrated a product of his team.. yes he stepped up in the post season but so did, foles, flacco, eli and others..

Montana was far better and in the same era..just do stat comp to top 5 qbs of the 80-90s and see how troy stacks up.

Highly doubt you are 52 and watched that era like you claim. The fact that you don't understand the differences in personal and offensive schemes as a reason for one QB to put up more stats then another QB makes me highly doubt you watched. I'm not saying Aikman was better than Montana I'm saying Aikman was not overrated. You comparing his stats to Montana as your reasoning to why Aikman was overrated is just shortsighted.

I So you don't understand the style of offense that Montana played in compared to what Aikman played in? You don't understand the difference of having an Emmitt Smith? Roger Craig as a running back had over 1k in receiving yards at least twice. Why? Because he played in the west coast offense with Montana throwing short. If Aikman was asked to play in the west coast offense with his accuracy he would be able to put numbers as well. If you are only looking at stats as a way to judge Aikman's talents then you are lost.
excuses sorry facts are facts both and add in Kelly had great run support as well. they stil put up better stat lines. Sorry we will not agree.

I say put Romo and Murray or Dak and Zeke in place of our 2 very famous players who are not allowed to be criticized and we will win those SBs. thats the team concept most miss here when they call out Dak, Romo and Zeke..

that how i view it and you wont change my mind. Our current players are victims of circumstance and those 90s player were aides by superior team and coaches...

Apparently you fail to understand the differences in offenses teams employ. Kelly, like Montana, was in an offense predicated on throwing the ball all over the field. Aikman wasn’t. I’ll take Aikman’s style and THREE titles over Kelly’s empty trophy case. That’s like saying Steff Curry is a better basketball player than Michael Jordan because Curry has made a lot more threes. LOL.

You are mixing two things up here. I think if Romo had better coaching and a better GM not making bad trades like Roy Williams he certainly could have won. We saw what he became in 2014 but unfortunately injuries happened. Jury is still out on Dak.
I don't knock todays players because of what past players have done. Me saying Aikman was not overrated doesn't mean I knock down Romo and Dak.

Still doubt it. Usually when someone gets hot and bothered about today's players not getting the love of the players who had success in the past usually means newer fan.

Look folks, even when you adjust Aikman's stats for the modern era, it isn't impressive when compared to his peers. Now, you can make the argument that the style of offense held him back - but the simple fact is, we don't know. What we do know is, Aikman had a few great seasons in the league and the team being one of the most loaded teams in NFL history achieved a lot in those short years.

But I don't think Aikman is overrated (outside of Cowboys forums and pages) - people usually appropriately rate Aikman. Great QB surrounded by a ton of talent that elevated him. There's nothing wrong with that.

No. Seriously no.
Fully agree with a "H No". Troy, when placed into the fray beyond handing off the Emmitt...he could rip a team up and be a threat, just like everybody else on those teams.
And he had no problem getting in somebody's face, if they weren't performing.......leadership. And he was respected by his teammates.

I’d say they elevated each other. Let’s see. First overall draft pick. Check. Three Super Bowl titles and a Super Bowl MVP. Check. First ballot HOFer. Check. Apparently the ones that really matter don’t even remotely think he’s overrated. I’ll take their opinions over any on this little forum.

ditto but that easy for one weve been posting since 2018 and i have 10x the posts and likes says my level of commitment is exactly what i said, only difference back then is i had to egt Newpapers sports section and highlighter to go find stories and stats then debate with real people, who would not be a keyboard strong man because they would have to own it. call me liar in person and find out. i have 6 boxes of old Newpapers and old gear and trinkets form the old days, used to display them, all over the house

.. the ignore list is easy..BYE i don't debate with stubborn poster who have to be right so much they call me Liar and don't know anything about me..you sir are a horse back end and deserve the list. only way to shut up those that wont let it go...

.IGNORE
