We definitely can root for their team.

We don’t have to like all of the moving pieces but we can still root for the sum.

One thing Jethro has never wavered from is saying the buck stops with him.

If the Cowboys have made a grave misjudgement in our QB, why is that our QB’s fault and not the ones who evaluated and paid him , then hypes him as such.

The Bears made the mistake of trying to use Fields like the traditional QB. It was only until the game against the Pats did they start to do things differently. Same with the Eagles and Jalen Hurts. Hurts isn't a better passer, he's just in a better system to excel. Similar to how the Ravens use Lamar Jackson. He's not going to run an offense like the one Jow Burrow runs.

Dak needs a system similar to how the 49ers had success. Strong defense and run game. Complimented by Dak. Dak is better than Garoppolo, way less reckless with the ball. But Dak is not Rodgers, Herbert, or Burrow. He's probably a step down from Tony Romo. Give him a balanced game plan and a good defense. He's good enough to win with. Just look at Matt Ryan, Joe Flacco, Nick Foles, these guys are not hall of famers. You have to recognize what they need and weaponize them.

The Cowboys lucked into this season. This was no masterplan by Jerry. He's doing the same crap he's been doing since 2013.

OK, who really cares what fans believe.

What we need to be discussing or bashing are the ones responsible for believing and investing in Prescott .

It’s like ok. We paid him, why isn’t he meeting those expectations? Instead of maybe the guys who invested in him missed the boat or had ulterior motives or lack thereof.

Personally , I’ve thought he’s been over valued , not Elite and would need much support for the ultimate team success but I see no reason to bash him . It’s not his fault our front office over valued him.

In the meantime , I’ll still root him on like the other 52 guys on the roster. I don’t have to believe in anything. This thought that we can’t support our guys unless we believe in them is pure rubbish and simply egotistical fan rhetoric.

Who cares if you believe in him or not. And nobody cares if you thought you were right. The only ones we hold accountable are the ones making the decisions. That’s who should bear the brunt of the bashing and criticism. They are the ones who continue to believe and invest in him without more success. The fans are just rooting on their guys . Until they aren’t their guys.

Let me give you an example.

You and your family desperately need shelter and you find this 5 star hotel. They charge you an arm and a leg, but it's worth it.

You and your family desperately need shelter, I offer you my wood shed and charge you an arm and a leg, how do you feel about me?

That's what every one of these QBs do coming off their rookie season. If you're going to keep them, they want top dollar. It's them, or no one.

I cheer for the team, he's part of the team so I root him on. That doesn't mean I won't criticize him or any other player that plays poorly when they do. Dak is just more of a lightning rod. If I criticize Trysten Hill for a bad game, you wouldn't get half a page of responses on a thread...nobody cares

I root my team on. Dak can be the guy. JJ has had plenty of time to make moves. He is the one that waited on signing him. Could have signed him before wentz got signed. He had to prove himself. And many fans said he did. The problem comes after he was signed. Every one expected a SB just because he was signed to a market priced deal.

End of the day it’s a team game. We have a descent to good O-Line and a real good Defense and pretty good ST. If our O-Line holds up then JJ may have screwed the pooch by not getting him WRs. There really is no excuse for Dak to not have success. Injury was a setback. We won last week. That’s all I care about. Keep winning.
