How can a one-legged receiver put us even with the Eagles. The man is coming off an injury that takes a couple of years to recover from. Just because he can make his way back onto the field doesn't mean that he's going to hit the ground running great routes! Gallop still isn't Gallop to this point of the season and he's played in all 8 games this season.

As I said I have mixed feeling and concerns. My question would be how did he come back from ACL last season? Right now I love having Lamb and Gallup but this WR group is thin, I do think adding a vet player like OBJ can help this team.

Even with OBJ, they still have the better WR corp. We will still lack the sorely needed big time, and big bodied possession WR like AJ Brown.

disagree. AJ brown is a stud, but I think Ceedee is better than Smith, OBJ is better than Smith. Hell Noah Brown may be as well. Goedert has really grown into his role, but I'd still rather have our TRIO of te's as well.

Count me on board with OBJ. If he's healthy, OBJ in the slots could be very effective for this offense and create mismatches either at his position or others. Runningback would benefit tremendously as well.

I see alot of people on here are still caught up with OBJ's persona from the past but this guy hasn't been inthe news much (despite having Baker Mayfield as a QB) other than stating he wants to win.

If the Cowboys can make the numbers work, go for it, what's the worse we can do... Noah Brown??

Is this a parody account?

no that was just a silly question that didn’t deserve an answer.

but no, isolating a single game and projecting it isn’t the same as doing so with a contextual based sample size.

How does anybody know this? Are we assuming that this present injury will take zero toll on his abilities? How would that be possible, especially given his age and prior injuries?

OBJ just seems like fool's gold to me.

Beckham had 44 receptions last year. 27 in 8 games with the Rams. Why do we want him?
I would sign him if he could still run a 4.45, but I bet he is more around 4.6 now.
Signing OBJ would be like adding another James Washington.

So 4 playoff games is an adequate sample size to project a full season? Especially considering a history of injuries over the past 5 years, the typical trajectory of a WR that just turned 30 and odd behavior that has him sitting right now? A 4 game sample size will tell you the answer huh?

no. it's not an exact science. however. after returning from injury and gelling with a new team, hitting his stride against the toughest competition on the biggest stage was a good sign of his abilities. it's all moot obviously since he got injured again, I just don't necessarily have a problem with projecting a full playoff performance over a season as an optimistic idea of what to expect /hope for.

I believe he is getting more credit than he deserves. His abilities as a passer are still lacking.
Statistically, passing wise, he’s been one of the top handful of QBs this year. Visually, he’s making great reads, and even greater throws. I have no idea what you’re watching to make you believe his ability as a passer is still lacking.

“Go get Odell Beckham because he’ll go get the football,” Broaddus said (13:08 in player above). “Who on this team goes and gets the football? Who runs those dangerous inside routes and goes and snatches the ball on the fly and takes off running?”

The Cowboys have a solid receiving group headlined by CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup, but OBJ would add another dimension to the offense.

“You haven’t had a guy on that team to go and snatch a ball since Dez Bryant was here last, just comes flying across the middle knowing bodies are all over the place, reaches his hands out, doesn’t let the defender get on behind him and knock the ball down,” Broaddus continued. “This guy’s a bad ball catcher. That’s what he is. You can throw a ball anywhere, this guy’s catch radius – we’ve seen it first hand.”

The veteran wide receiver played six games in Cleveland and eight games with the Los Angeles Rams last season. He caught a touchdown in five of those Rams regular-season games and was even better in the playoffs.

“That’s why he’s a difference-maker, because when it gets tough and it gets tight he will go get the football. I don’t know if you have guys like that on this team,” Broaddus said. “That’s why Jerry Jones, Mike McCarthy’s interested in this cat, and a lot of other teams are willing to make him a part of their team for maybe two months, three months. Maybe. Because he is a difference-maker. That’s why people still like this guy. He did it in the Super Bowl. This guy’s a difference-maker.”

Adding Odell Beckham Jr. would put Cowboys on Eagles' level (audacy.com)
If he doesn’t hurt the locker room. If we can afford him. If he’s good for the team. Be stupid not to sign him. It’s just that simple for me

OBJ is old, crazy, damaged goods.
There’s no such thing as damaged goods. It’s all up to walk room. If he can help us if he’s stupid not to sign him. And if we can afford him

Amari Cooper was better than OBJ last year.....Cooper caught 65% of his targets and OBJ caught 54% and OBJ had Cooper Kupp taking a load of attention. OBJ is not what they are trying to portray. He is an average possession receiver. Since we like to compare Noah Brown to Amari, lets do that with OBJ. Noah was better this year than OBJ was last year on a game by game basis with a very average QB throwing him the ball!

Amari was the one who had us step for step!

This is just so stupid from the FO!!!
Yeah but that was last year. And he was with Brady. Who had a great running game.
