I think we should have a multi-back attack.

The point is to dispel another bunk notion about Pollard not being able to handle the workload.
I get it and will fully admit skip peetes comment was dumb. My guess is it was more to protect zekes usage to the media than anything else.

Even a player like Turpin can handle a large workload for a game or a small stretch of games. It’s over 17+ games that becomes the issue, and is what Peete should have said. Running that gauntlet has made it to where even zeke can’t do it anymore in his mid 20s

Did he tell his RB coach he was done and had nothing left? He either did or didn't. I don't believe the coach made it up.

If a player comes up to me and says he's done and he didn't even have a full workload I'm not thinking this guy is a workhorse.

It’s the context in which Pollard said it. I believe it was after Pollard ripped off the 50+ yarder in 4th quarter (there’s sideline audio of it IIRC). The Cowboys had a five play drive with Pollard running the ball for four of them, accounting for 72 yards.

Pollard came off the field after the TD and joked that he was done.

Either way, despite Pete’s assertion, the team gave Pollard 30 more snaps in the Packers game than Zeke has recieved had at any point the last two seasons.

But Cal...haven't you heard? We need Zeke to wear the defense down and he'll never up his YPA if he doesn't get 20+ carries.
Pollard's high snap count number could have contributed to our lost. It was by no means Pollard fault, but Moore pretty much abandoned the run, in the fourth, when we had a 14 point lead. Could it be that Moore didn't want to run Pollard into the ground? Who knows, but a 14 point lead in the fourth is when you want to start running the ball. Yet, Moore didn't. Malik Davis came in at the end of the third and made some nice runs, yet Moore pulled him.

It's just Kellen Moore went out of his way to make sure CeeDee Lamb got over a hundred yards and to make sure Tony Pollard played a whole game. So he let Pollard play, but didn't use him. When a team sets out to set the fan straight and the media straight, that's when you know they're not being coached well.

Then give more carries to Davis who was averaging 7 ypc.

We lost bc our defense gave up a 4th and 7 in the 4th and folded while having a 14 point lead in the 4th.

We lost ALSO because the offense couldn't establish anything....for whatever reason. Their 2 turnovers contributed to our defense having their back to the wall with a guy who's "famous"...for come backs.

So what we scored 28. So what we're up 14. So what the defense caved. Our offense did nothing..worse than nothing....when it mattered the most.

Yes. Context. He just scored a touchdown and had the kickoff and defensive series to catch his wind. Instead he told his coach he was done for the game. I fail to see how that's a joke. If you watch the sounds of the sidelines video for that game he's talking about how his legs are dead after the score.

I'm for giving him as many snaps as he can possibly play while maintaining the burst. If I had it my way the big headed freak wouldn't see the field anymore. I just don't believe Pollard can handle a full load. Especially every week.

There are several different things that contributed to the loss, but not continuing to run is one that's on my list. Like you said give more carries to Davis.

I made a thread on this before and somehow it got taken down...

Pollard's stats after his supposed 30 snap ceiling:
12 carries, 74 yards, 6.2 ypc, 1 TD

He was actually more effective as the game went on.

So if someone would’ve told you we score 28 on the road against GB going into that game you wouldn’t have been happy? Our offense held up their end of the bargain.

This defense is supposed to be good. Again, 4th and 7 in the 4th quarter up 14 points…defense folded.

Okay I will play.

The person that told me 28? Must have ESP? Would also have to tell me NONE....in the 4th qtr.

I would have been concerned. Yes.

If you can't score when you need it most....it's a problem. Dak had 5 4th qtr comebacks in 2016. 5 since.

I won;t worry about who did what in the 2016 wins. Nor who did what in the misses. It is just an interesting stat.

In the 4th qtr with a 20 point lead against a garbage team following a 50 yard TD run.

Such nonsense
