They should be. You're paying between 100k-200k for them at the minimum for a nice one. Some are a lot more.
huh????? what corvette are you seeing that is in that price range?
Are you kidding me? About 5 years ago I did a build your own on the Chevy site. With a few options I was over 100k. That was back in 2015. Scroll down and look at the price my man. With tax it's approaching 200k.

Corvette Z06 for Sale: 2023 Corvette Z06 Pricing | Chevrolet
clicked on your link entered in my zip and a 2023 z06 total cost out door was 110k. Not even close to 200k. That being said, I bought a 2006 c6 last summer.... I preferred the 25k I paid:)

Id be shocked if it isnt determined that williams was speeding. 22 year old kids and 100k sports cars arent a good mix.

Just to set the record straight, Al Morris had his Mazda, not a Honda. The parking lot of cowboys/rangers practice is stable for supercars, as always has been. The NFL has done a disservice to most players by not having some sort of money management 101 for them. The real world awaits them much more quickly than they realize. the Emitt Smiths and Roger Staubachs are outliers. my two cents
and you know the NFL doesnt do stuff like that?

I know one thing...... me at his age back in the day. I would of have been fast break Charlie with that signing bonus and think I'd already arrived.

When I think about the ages of these "kids" and how a lot of them have lived the "catered life" at college, you give me that back in the day and I am a bona fide train wreck waiting to happen. Difference is I wouldn't have waited to leave the game to be broke.

Then there's the "grew up with nothing" side of it and all of the sudden, everything is within reach. How does anyone resist that coming from that background?

I agree, his life, his money and we know very little about his life except his ride is wrecked.

The one thing I did not like about that report was the way she said the other driver's age, like 71 is cussing. I am a little bit touchy about that and all y'all that haven't crossed that 70 barrier yet will be too when you do. Hell, not all of us septuagenarians are Natural Born Killers with machines.

Hey, I was "get the hell off my lawn" in my 40's.

excuse me if I set you off here... but it is factual. About 15 years ago I was driving on a Yamaha FZR 600 sport bike. I was going about 35MPH coming around a bend on my way to a downtown meeting. I saw this car trying to exit a business parking lot trying to turn left which he would have to cross 2 west bound lanes plus a turn lane for him to go east. I slowed down with my eyes on him the entire time... in my head I was saying dont you do it, dont you do it. Well, he did it, I tried to swerve and avoid him but I had no chance. I hit the front of his car and flew over his hood like Superman.

I hit the pavement, rolled a couple of time, hit the back of my head on the street.... it was like everything was in slow motion. I jumped up, ran over, took of my helmet and slammed it at his car. I was so pissed off. I then walked into the convenience store he was trying to leave and grabbed a bottled water and sat on the sidewalk curb, my body now went into shock and I started sweating profusely as I laid on my back and waited for an ambulance.

My bike was totaled. At the Hospital a motorcycle cop interviewed me as he had been assigned the case. He told me the driver of the car said I must have been going 100mph as he never saw me. Had I been even close to that speed I would be dead. He lied and tried to blame me for the accident. He never once tried to contact me to see how I was.

He was 71 years old and there is no doubt in my mind that was a factor.

I learned a lot from that accident about insurance companies. His tried to force me to get the crashed motorcycle out of the impound lot at my expense and bring it to my house. lol I still remember that conversation with his insurance company. I was lucky as I had a sprained wrist, sprained knee, and a torn left bicep that I still have a scar on today.

About a month later I replaced that FZR that had carberateurs and a steel frame with a fuel injected aluminum frame Honda CBR 1000rr.... my wife was not happy. I still have that great motorcycle today in my garage.

Maybe my link only shows me the price? I built one for 163k. I click on it, it shows 163k.
when we click on the link we enter in our zip code and then it takes us to the builder site with a 2023 z06 but it doesnt show the car you specifically built.

My 66 got totaled at Walmart when I was inside shopping Loved that car

Did you at least find out who did it? I had a 1968 AMX and I parked it at a store parking lot for 15 minutes and some ah ho crashed into my rear quarter panel and drove away.

Yeah, it took awhile, but I finally figured that out. But my original post was a car between 100k-200k.

I never argued that the guy doesn't have the income to afford it. Of course he does. That's the problem. I've had union jobs for over 30 years. I have stability. The NFL is anything but that. Your timeframe could be as little as 3-4 years. But hey, it's his life.

NO not really more like LCollins crash in 2020? at least this one SW says hes fine , no injuries no concerns. he has bigger collisions in a game :)

Again.

so not his fault, not hurt, non story,,. i bet 1000k crashes like this happened in TX that day and only an NFL player makes the news..lmao,
I should have, elaborated, the damage to the vehicle

Never, ever, ever drive a nice car to walmart. Most of the other customers have little regard for courtesy, personal space, or other peoples' property.

I'm glad everyone's ok. We've seen enough horror stories already. But dude, watch your money. He hasn't received a 2nd contract yet. You want to blow all of your money and work the rest of your life if things go south?

he's a millionaire. that's barely 100k car when fully optioned out.

oops see the convo's already been had. disregard

This statement isn’t true. The NFL has a very resourceful rookie symposium that covers everything from money management to new social pitfalls being a professional athlete. It is considered the best in professional sports!

of course it's a story because he's a local athlete. the "story" doesn't have to involved fault or tragedy to be newsworthy. and tons of crashes are reported on the news

He got a 4 year 6+ million dollar contract. It's going to be around 3 million and change after taxes and what not. It's not a big deal if he gets a nice big extension. But what if he doesn't?
