I’m guessing Romo’s prime was not the 2009 playoff game against Vikings correct? I believe the Vikings had the 6th ranked overall defense in the NFL, compared to the 49’ers 1 ranked overall that Prescott just encountered.

Point being… Not sure why it’s assumed Romo would have any different results. Romo was putrid this game and before you even make an excuse about pressure, check the other side of the ball and look at the pressure #4 Favre is under. That’s called a wash in the vernacular and Romo got embarrassed by a HOF’er point blank. 3 points…

Maybe the OP is right and we need 1st round quarterback not 4th and undrafted. Might just be the answer. We’ve invested a high draft pick the past 20 years in like every position except DT and QB. Times need to be a changing.

Dallas defense in that Green Bay game could not stop a nose bleed. The results would have been the same even if the Dez catch was a touchdown. Aaron would have went right back down the field and scored again.

LMAO.. when was Romo a better playmaker over Dak? Dak has more playoff wins then Romo and just as many if not more come from behind wins. Let's stop the silliness here. How many 8-8 seasons did Romo have? Dak has had few.

Emotions versus numbers. Numbers don't lie. Dak is better. Playoffs -team records- Quarterback numbers. Let's stop the silliness in here. Dak played a bad game. Just as Diggs did. Just as Turpin did.Just as the pass rush and turn over less defensive numbers did.
 
Romo and Dak are not the same even though their records seem similar. Romo was prone to errors because he had no fear, or maybe the phrase is he does not fear failure.

Dak is different. I think Dak does fear failure, but he just lacks the ability to process information quickly. And I disagree that it is aggression, although it is partly that. I think Dak is more physically gifted than Romo. Romo is more mentally gifted than Dak.
 
Romo never got the job done but at least he was consistently in the top 5 in QB rating. Aside from his first year Dak is consistently top 12-15 range. They are different players. Dak was fantastic as a rookie under a certain system. That QB and that system are like a distant memory. They are like 2016 Zeke. Ancient history. Dak got his big boy contract and now all he does is throw up all over his big boy pants.
 
I did a time adjusted QB rating for QBs throught NFL history.
All it does is lookat ratings per year and djust to current…..as rating have goneup every year 90% of the last 60.years

QB rating isnt the tell-all for best QBs, but it helps.

Of the top 20 all-time, 18 are in the Hall of Fame or will for be in the HOF…..you know, Montana, Sammy Baugh, Young, Staubach, P Manning, Brady, etc

The 2 that were not?
8) Ken Anderson…should be in HOH, imo
15) Tony Romo….nope, needed more years and/or playoff success


All the rest were HOFers

Btw, Daks historically adjusted rating isnt too bad either…its 35th. The point is that you cant compare current QB rating with past ones honestly.

all the dak hate anyone realize how much worse it can BE? like searching for qb for decade like we have, and other teams have? 13 qbs used after Aikman before Romo...

how about this,
Dak when starting and finishing a season upright and healthy hes gone to the payoffs 4 of 6 years. i didn't check other stats but oi dont believe hes been on a losing record team in that scenario 2017/2019 no playoffs...

seems how this puts Dak supporter VS those that say he sux without much middle ground but if that record says a player sux this league is mostly full of terrible qbs.

the 4 playoffs losses all under 8 points with legitimate other team issues

2016 GB game he and ouir offense played GREAT, lost to rogers because of our defense-rookie of the year and plays lie that 13-3 11 game win streak, you know like Purdy with a defense.
2018-rams game once again OL no run game, and the defense gives up 250yards rushing , sure that on Dak.. right he should make huge pays without help
2021- 14 penalties 11 on the OL and took back huge plays, top etc etc right on Dak
2022- carbon copy of the 21 9er game NO RUN Game , POOR OL pass protection, Gallup being pushed off his route for an INT & make zero effort to go break it up, shcultz last drive 2 mistakes , diggs had an opportunity to be elite and made neither big play but Dak makes few mistakes and is blamed for a 7 point loss... sure all Dak

Is it me or Does Romo have twice as many fans here now then he had when he was playing. hypocrites talked about him the same way..Im fan of both so no bias similar tier player blamed for all failures, even though many were team losses.

Amazing, every statement here is wrong.

They have the exact same playoff record, Romo has way better numbers if you account for era difference, and Dak was the only one that you listed that actually had a bad game.
