qbs should not be held responsible for the wins or losses, alone..
EXCEPT when it is clear that those QBs (to remain nameless) - and their major/timely errors - are the direct and unequivocal causes of those losses. And it is usually clear that had those major/timely errors not occurred, we would have otherwise won important games (such as the Divisional playoff game).

Amazing, every statement here is wrong.

They have the exact same playoff record, Romo has way better numbers if you account for era difference, and Dak was the only one that you listed that actually had a bad game.

Romo did more with less. Dak needs all pros at every position to look great. Sure Romo had his mistakes late game but a lot of those were because the defense couldn't close out a game.
Romo's good years making the playoffs...

2006, 2007, 2009 & 2014

Look at those rosters.

Loaded.

So much for the continued false rhetoric.

Romo never got the job done but at least he was consistently in the top 5 in QB rating. Aside from his first year Dak is consistently top 12-15 range. They are different players. Dak was fantastic as a rookie under a certain system. That QB and that system are like a distant memory. They are like 2016 Zeke. Ancient history. Dak got his big boy contract and now all he does is throw up all over his big boy pants.
Hmm...let's see...

Looks like Dak has a better QB passer rating average than Romo did. That's because Romo's highest listed season passer rating was the 134.4 rating he received for only passing 3 passes during that 1 drive to end the 2016 season at the Eagles. That 134.4 passer rating greatly improved his passer rating which realistically was lower.

The comparisons are close, I will say all of Romo's teams were overhyped, Dak has had more talent overall. Romo elevated players as well, Dak I have yet to really see that. They never were trying to make desperate receiver trades with Romo.

You do realize that the average passer rating has been markedly higher for Dak's career than it was for Romo's? The less than 1 point of difference between the 2 despite that speaks towards Romo being a higher tier as a passer than Dak.

Nope. It means the QBs in Dak's era are better.

I guess that is one possible explanation if you ignore all the existing rule changes that benefit QBs as well as all the QBs well past their prime putting up better numbers than when they were in their primes.
True, but QB protections were happening during Romo's era as well.

Your posts are seriously so lame. I can't imagine throwing out all your credibility for a single player you'll not give a crap about once they retire. Just utterly embarrassing.
Awww, another one who can't handle facts. Your feelings get in the way. Passer rating stats are stats. Can't deny them unless you've got an agenda. Clearly, you do.

Now I'm no Dak hater and while he plays with a star on his helmet I will be behind him 100%.
But just like Tony Romo, Dak Prescott will never win a Super Bowl.
Tony was prone to making errors in big games, as is Dak.
Dak isn't going anywhere for the next couple of seasons but the front office need to start planning who his successor may be right now, whether it's through the draft or via a trade.
All decent to good quarterbacks can win a SB. You just have to support your quarterback accordingly. Matt Stafford is a good example. Romo was every bit as good as him or better.

Romo and Dak are the same guy. You are what your record is and both have identical playoff records of not getting it done. Everything else is quibbling over irrelevancies.
