..."actually clutch end of game"......obviously talking regular season......not playoffs or last game of the season to get into the playoffs. Duly noted.

Question: Exclude Romo and Dak for a moment and from this question.

If your QB slings 5 interceptions in a game......is he reading defenses, is he simply a gunslinger, or is his slimply not smart?
U forgot to mention he came back and won that game!

U forgot to research the Chicago Bear game he lost.
Did you? Only the last 2 picks where on him. The 3rd wasn't even a throw it was a fumble. First one Dez did Dez things sometimes, 2nd one was a terrible drop.

Really?....you went that hard to exonerate TRomo. I used the 5 interception games being proposed for any QB and to exclude Romo & Dak. Anyway, may want to check again. No need to go to lengths to protect Romo though.

Now I'm no Dak hater and while he plays with a star on his helmet I will be behind him 100%.
But just like Tony Romo, Dak Prescott will never win a Super Bowl.
Tony was prone to making errors in big games, as is Dak.
Dak isn't going anywhere for the next couple of seasons but the front office need to start planning who his successor may be right now, whether it's through the draft or via a trade.
Neither player had good headcoaches most of the time, and that's on Jerry.

That was the one playoff game that he loss that he played well in.
You said he never played a good game in the playoffs, I just responded with a fact.
BTW, one game earlier in the wild card round vs the Lions he had a game winning drive throwing a TD with no much time on the clock. He didn't play as well as he did vs Green Bay but he won, does that count as a good game or nah?

No I said he never really showed up in big games. 2007 he was mediocre. 2009 against Minnesota he was mediocre. Those play-in games against the division winners he was awful. in 2014 he played his best playoff games and that's because he finally had a running game. Murray was the Cowboys MVP that season. I'll give you that GB game. I never really blamed him for that loss. I know some do because he was being a gunslinger with that that pass to Dez. Then of course I could go back to that 2006 Seattle game which he loss. So yea he played well in 3 playoff games. 2014 was the only year out of 10 I thought we had a chance with Romo and that's because he could lean on Murray. And then what did out great organization do. They got rid of Murray. lol And then of course Romo started to break down. So congrats. He was good in 2014. Still wasn't good enough. I mean Dak had good playoff games too. The only 2 of his I thought he sucked at was the last 2 years against SF. Both QBs have 2 wins. Maybe I had more expectations for Romo. When he came in to play in 2006 I thought finally we're going to have multiple SB appearances. Couldn't even get us to a championship game. I'm still more disappointed in the Romo years because he was a better QB than Dak.

Jerry and coaching will doom Dak to no rings as well. In Daks case a lousy OC

I mean Jerry is the real problem here. He just does not know how to build a championship roster. During Romo's years he let the defense go. Now we got a good defense and he tells Dak to go out and be a gunslinger. That's not who he is. The next QB will have the same problem.

Could be all 3. lol
Add No.4 --- the QB had an injury or ailment that drastically affected his play = never should have took the field in the first place.

You literally said this on your original post "I don't even remember Romo playing that good of a game in the playoffs". but hey, to each his own.

If I did I stand corrected. He played well in 2014.

Let's go with another to make it 5: QB nor OC didn't have any idea what to do. We can keep going.

Romo is way above what Dak could even think of being. Romo is the #1 QB all time in 4th quarter passer rating and 4th quarter passer rating in a one score game. His biggest "choke" was as a holder. It was what Bill Parcells called his biggest mistake and regret was keeping him as a holder after he became starter because he didn't have time to practice holding as much. That has nothing to do with playing QB. If you are old enough to watch them both play and you have eyes you know there is no debate. Romo was 10 times the QB that Dak is. Heck, Romo threw for 506 yards, 5 TDs, ran and threw for 2 point conversions against the Broncos and they still lost. He threw one INT and that was because the oline stepped on his foot. If Romo had a D like we have now we would have been unstoppable. If Romo was our QB against the 49ers we win, plain and simple. You Romo McCarthy and not Garrett that would be a game changer, Tony had his career wasted by Red.

Only people who know nothing about football and only watch Sunday highlights think Romo was a choker. It's actually the opposite.

2007 - 2015 he lead all quarterbacks in 4th quarter and overtime passer ratings. Most 4th quarter comebacks. From 2011 numerous quarterbacks had more game ending interceptions such as Brady!, Rivers , Eli and etc. Was also the league leader of one score games in the 4th quarter. This while his defenses bar a couple years were giving up nearly 30 points a game! His entire career the rush game only cracked top 10 twice and top 10 scoring defense once. Five of those years they ranked 20th or worse. Then add in Jason Garret

Its actually fn incredible he dragged those teams to 8-8

Dak = Ferrari of a team compared to romo. Put Dak on those teams we barely cracks 4-5 wins

Now game winning drives is kind of a questionable stat imo as it's skewed to actually playing from behind. Some teams were just to far ahead certain quarterbacks never got as many chances
