We saw the injury to Gallup and how limited he seemed this past season. Do we keep this in mind when assessing whether to keep Pollard or not?? Give your thoughts please...

Paid DLaw when he was injured and look at the return on investment
Drafted then paid Jaylon Smith and look at the return on investment
Paid Dak when he was injured and look at the return on investment

YES Pollard should get a new deal. Why is Pollards injury considered so serious? He will be fully recovered and ready to go in plenty of time for next year.
He has definite earned a new deal but the reality in the NFL is that running backs are expendable.

franchising Tony and drafting another fresh RB is in the best interest of the team…….unless Tony agrees to a manageable contract, which isn’t in his best interest.

Yes ^^^^^ This

I wouldn't let the Pollard injury affect the decision on his contract unless additional information comes out. It was an ankle sprain which is extremely common in the NFL and a bone fracture, both are almost certain to completely heal and do so before camp starts. Based on the current information we have this is a non factor.

The bigger question is do you want to lock up another RB to a long term deal or not. Personally, I think this is an easy franchise opportunity paired with a mid round draft pick.

Wow, if not for the injury he would not have been a cowboy and probably signed for close to 50% more contract pay. I guess you forgot.
