Idk bout that. Lve proved how much he's improved and how important he was when he got hurt. I'd pick lve over Wilson allday. When Wilson got hurt they just kept moving along

That's correct.

LVE is more crucial to the defense than Wilson.

I’m pretty sure Hitchens went on to be a starting linebacker with the Chiefs and now has 2 Rings ?
You’d be pretty wrong lol. As if rings mean something. Carson Wentz has a ring and keeps getting cut in what should be the prime of his career. Hitchens was a jag….good for him for stealing 50 million.

Wilson is good in run defense. But as long as they don't replace him with another Xavier Woods or Kazee they should be alright.

LVE was playing great at the end of last season. I guess they can go with Clark and Cox but they will need to draft some depth. I think one of the young LBs is going to emerge in 2023.

But anyone who thought this offseason would be different and that Jerry would keep the team together was dreaming. In Jerry world, players get paid by other teams not the Cowboys.
Cowboys run defense is already suspect though, I'd hate to make it worse.

The tag for a safety is around 14 mil… I would much rather pay that than tag an injured RB at 10 mil. 4 mil difference is peanuts. Tag Wilson, and draft a S to backfill for 2024 or 2025 if you can’t figure out a deal.

I love Tony, and hope we can figure out a fair deal, but let’s face it:

1. We don’t know the effect of his injury
2. RBs are readily available in the draft
3. We have neglected the S position for years and finally have decent S play the last 2 years, and the D finishes in the top 5: coincidence?
Hey man, you're preaching to the choir regarding the safety position and Wilson :D. No it's not a coincidence our defense is better. Our pass rush is also 1 of the best because of 11 from heaven. That helps the secondary as a whole so don't just think it's the safeties.

Would you rather have a #1 CB opposite side from Diggs for a couple $million more or Wilson on a tag? Knowing we got Kearse, already signed, Hooker and the promise of Marquise Bell?

I want to keep Wilson. But if I can get that other corner, Wow! What that could do for this defense with a stud DT.

Yah, because you’re so much smarter than Andy Reid and the Chiefs coaching staff. Of course you win multiple championships by not being able to evaluate players and put losers on the field. Speaking of losers…

What lol? What are you even talking about? Did you even watch the SB? Of course not because you thought he had two rings and he’s been out of the league. Speaking of losers…..it’s one thing to be wrong but it’s another to be clueless and wrong. And FYI, Reid is an offensive mastermind. Not a GM. Don’t put that signing on him…and btw here’s an article discussing the GMs words miss of his career…wonder who it is….

Dude, you said he was JAG. I said he went on to start and win on the Chiefs. Period. Maybe cut back on the caffeine.

He was a jag I just sent you to an article saying he’s their worst free agent signing. Just admit you were wrong and move on why are you trying to die on this hill?

LVE loss would force a look at bargain vet free agent LB and draft again.

Methinks club was counting on LSU backers Cox and Clarke but that's way off and another danger of the club underestimate going into season, imo.

But watch this team keeps going right back to these Antony barr like band aid plans again..

Big fan of how Dono plays and what the physicality he brings to the defense, so I hope they work something out, but I doubt it.

Because of: Mukuamu, Bell, Coyle, Thomas and what looks to be a draft pick coming out of this draft.
I betcha club will revert to plans of Mukuamu and marquis bell to groom as replacements for Wilson.

Only those guys not established and proven big play maker like Wilson was.

Donovan has int skills, major physicality, and a knack for blitzing and stripping the QB. His range, man coverage skills and ability to lead and position fellow members may not be as reliable as jaylon Kearse.
Closer he plays to the line, more effective he seems to be.
