The Ravens are clearly not sold on him for the kind of money he’s looking for. I’m sure he’s wanting $50 million at least per season. He’s not a productive enough passer for any team to pay him that kind of money and he’s had some injury issues the past two seasons.

Can you say collusion. Them owners are dirty. Time for Mahomes, Burrow and the NFLPA to mobilize.
I don't doubt that collusion happens, but what's the motivation here? There aren't enough productive starters in the league and not all of these teams can draft a top guy. Collusion for the sake of it when you could improve your team doesn't add up.

The word has been out that Jackson wants, at least, what Watson got. As long as that's his position no one is going to pick up the phone. If his demands were more reasonable he'd have suitors, or more likely an extension with the Ravens.

Stop the guaranteed contracts. First the quarterbacks get them then every star player will ask for them. The Cowboys are one of the cheapest teams. Dak does not make top 5 money. No other player has a crazy salary. The Joneses make a billion a season of Cowboys merchandise and they crying about the cap. These owners…. The Ravens don’t make Cowboys money but he is not paying any player crazy money. He crying poor as well.

Whats yalls obsession with Philly grabbing Lamar?

why would they give up that much for a QB that has done less playoff wise?
Agreed there's zero percent chance Philly would take him. They already have a QB who's younger and better and proved he can handle the pressure of the playoffs.

This thing is making the rounds as examples of why Lamar deserves a similar deal. All of those teams finished with losing records, and those contracts look like mistakes.

Not exactly a great selling point. It probably wouldn't hurt Lamar to hire an agent, either. He and his mom haven't accomplished much on their own.

Maybe He learned from Brady and decided Rings and His Legacy is more important

And there is a Direct Correlation . . . Dak would not budge on the Money nor the Length and Now this team is Limited . . . Whereas Mahomes just added another one
The interview they did with Mahomes on New Heights was very interesting. You can see why he's such a winner. They guy is very determined and driven, so I would not be surprised at all if you are correct.

I don’t think anyone offers a contract Jackson is willing to accept, AND two firsts.

I wouldn’t. His game doesn’t project to age well….and he has sort of an injury issue.
Also he hasnt won in playoffs has he?

these players get greedy come contract time.
Some other team may be dumb enough to do it though.
look how dumb cleveland was.

The ravens haven't invested in the offense around him, especially the protection.

I work in Baltimore and the locals aren’t happy about this. They said Lamar reignited the the ravens after Flacco flamed out.
The locals that are paying his salary or the locals watching it on tv for free?

Now we are going to get a good look to see if collusion is alive and well in the NFL among the Owners.
I'm not sure it takes a lot of collusion in this case. He reportedly wants Watson money - over $200 million guaranteed, he's a runner who gets hurt for part of every season, and not only would you have to pay him, you're giving up two first round picks for the privilege.

Let's also not forget how last season ended. He was expected back from injury in early/mid December. He never returned. The Ravens even stopped talking about him returning. That doesn't sound like a leader who wanted to win a title first and foremost. That sounds like a guy who was going into a contract year and shut it down. Maybe, maybe not, but it wasn't a good look. That neither party was saying anything was odd.

And we're supposed to wonder why teams aren't lining up to make this runner a $200+ million man while also giving up two first round picks? I wouldn't want Dallas to do it.

Reportedly they're not interested. Looks like Lamar is getting a lesson in market value.

Nooo........a lesson on a 100% guaranteed contract. They a basically saying Watson's deal, like Cousin, was a rare exception. In other words, a lot of extraordinary factors impacted Watson and Cousin's total guaranteed contracts. On the other hand, Lamar is trying to get the same type of deal via normal circumstances/negotiations. The owners are speaking loud and clear here.....100% guaranteed contracts will not become part of the norm.
Any fans/media trying to make this about anything other than the contract structure he's demanding ( race, economics) is misguided IMO.

I'm willing to bet a red penny the Ravens practically offered him anything he wanted, including the top 3 highest paid average, but NO 100% guaranteed contract.
