Irvin has failed to provide proof that he did not do what the woman says he did.

Curious, how does one prove that they didn't say something?

The NFL has decided to keep Michael Irvin suspended based on "merit". Ok, so where is the concrete evidence against Irvin to keep him suspended?

It’s in the employees statement.

He will be working for the Cowboys network soon ....... Jerry will be able to keep it hush hush when he sexually harasses the girls on there.

Yea, this is where I expect him to land as well. He’s already been working for Jethro’s Silver Star Network. It’s just not a year round gig.

They would need audio evidence which they don’t have. It’s his word against hers.

And they have video evidence they indeed exchanged words, his admittance he’d been drinking not recalling the exchange in detail and of course his history of sexual misconduct .

That’s enough for the league to draw some conclusions and to lean towards the testimony of the employee.

However, that does not change what I've stated about this from the beginning, he brought every bit of this down upon himself.

5 of the 10 amendments in the Bill of Rights deal with justice for individuals. It was not just a slogan to the authors of the constitution. It is unfortunate it has become so today.

I don't blame Irvin for suing if he did nothing wrong. I think the penalties for falsely accusing others should be harsher. People's lives today are ruined based only on an accusation and often they get nothing in return once they are exonerated.

And if this was a celebrity without sexual misconduct history , I’d be more apt to be sympathetic to the accused questioning the employee’s intent and history .

I’m sure that woman has had worse things said to her but not by famous people. If Michael Irvin was just a regular guy this wouldn’t be happening.

Yes, but it’s his history of sexual misconduct which is the Red Flag in all of this. If this was an athlete without any history I doubt the hotel even attempts to move him.

Stephen A. Smith set up Michael Irvin. Because he was tired of being schooled by Michael on TV.

There were two Marriot employees who submitted statements about Irvin's behavior. In one of those, there is visual proof that corroborates the testimony (Irvin slapping himself three times). I think based on the fact that the employees have 0 vested interest in ruining Irvin's career and did nothing more than report an uncomfortable incident to their employer (and cooperate with an internal investigation) it's exceptionally unlikely they are lying vs. the person with a vested interest who admits he was too drunk to recall the interaction.

The NFL is always hypocritical. Look at the garbage with kraft and other owners and how they are treated vs anyone else.

Its all a big joke their so called protection of the 'shield'

Just look at the fines during the season; how often they are different for the same violations.
Or how some get called for anything and some never get called for anything

There is no such thing as fairness or honesty when talking the NFL as goofsmell and company run it

Not surprising............here is the problem for Irvin.

Marriott called the NFL who then sent NFL investigators to the hotel and they determined that something apparently happened and Irvin got moved from the hotel and kicked off NFL Network.

At the end of the day, it was the NFL, not Marriott that decided something happened. Thus, Irvin has to prove to the NFL that nothing happened, and it was all just a big misunderstanding. Unfortunately, Irvin does not have any evidence that proves he is innocent, just a video that shows him touching a female hotel employee twice on the arm.

Look, I have no idea what Irvin did or did not say to that woman, maybe he propositioned her and maybe he didnt. All I know is that NFL investigators were sent to the hotel and ever since then Irvin has been a no show on NFL Network.

We actually have heard some excerpts of what she said he said . Unfortunately those words are not allowed on this forum .

If they had concrete evidence, he would be already fired, not suspended.

The NFL is carefully walking that territory between sponsor and employee and most likely continuing to pay Irvin to keep his lawyer quiet. And they do not forget, all of their other sponsors are watching this.

It is still unresolved and he said/she said with no evidence of guilt or innocence, only interpretation of a video and it doesn't look like Marriott has cratered to make this go away as some predicted.

The overriding fact to me is that Irvin is in this predicament because of his mishandling of this from the beginning with that radio call in and the words used "hiding out". He helped make Marriott's charges stick.

Booger is the reason he has that job but he has been mysteriously silent on this and evidently his power with the league and network has its limitations. Or his love of that sponsor money is greater than his love of his former player and mouthpiece.

The NFL is waiting to see how the lawsuit plays out. Irvin’s best chance of returning is he drops the suit. If he doesn’t I’d imagine he knows he’s not coming back.
