..who even comes up with this stuff? Yes sir, Mr Gordy and his ideas for EURO NFL. Which translates to more $$$$$$.

Anyways, fun read and ideas more than interesting.

Moving Dallas

Who thinks of this crap? 9 divisions? Only a jackass would do that. If you have 36 teams it should be 3 divisions of 6 in each conference. An 18 game season. Play 10 games in the division, 4 outside the division, and 4 outside the conference. This is not hard stuff. It's basic common sense.

Never understood why they moved the Cardinals from the NFC East to the NFC West.

Atlanta was in the West. Made no sense either. When Cardinals moved to Arizona, they wanted out of the NFCE anyway.
so it made since to move them to the NFCW and Atlanta to NFCS. Which both agreed.
Once they moved to Phoenix it was an easy choice to move them to the NFC West. The same year the Cardinals relocated to Phoenix in 88 was the same year they moved to the NFC West. They were the most irrelevant team in the NFC East.

Here is some history.
when Seattle and TB entered the NFL. Seattle was in the NFC, I want to say Central.
TB was AFC West i think.

The following year, Seattle went to the AFCW, TB to the NFCC.

I can’t remember the reasons behind that though.

NFL brings in massive money with rivalries with Philly, New York and Washington
It does, but the money would still be there… And even more so with more teams. The NFL does not look at individual game revenues as much as a league revenues as a whole.

Something like this probably will happen down the road… But not as soon as this article seems to want it to

The biggest objectors would be NY, Washington and Philly b/c it would marginalize the division and turn into a mere regional affair. The NFL isn't that dumb as the cowboys regular season games combined with those huge markets makes for very lucrative football games.

NFL brings in massive money with rivalries with Philly, New York and Washington
Three rivalries that started over 60 YEARS AGO.
After the Cowboys' inaugural NFL season in the Western Conference, then Dallas GM Tex Schramm fought tooth and nail for the team to be moved over to the NFL Eastern Conference, so they could benefit from the exposure of playing the three teams in the biggest TV markets twice a season.
