I can agree Dak had a bad game, posters lose cred with me with they cant seem to bring themselves to mention the other players who failed to live up to challenege.. there was a CB that had a pretty bad game.. we had 3 WR who no showed and a TE who played his worst game not to mention the RB and basically an OL that got man handled..take CD out and you didnt gain 100 yards....but yeah the QB is the only one who played bad...Ooh and we gave up 100 yards rushing AGAIN in a damn playoff game..Its like some have a TV setting that only shows Dak during Cowboy games.

Yah, we already know Dak is. A top 10 QB. Better than most of the league. When he has great blocking from the Oline he plays elite football. Even did it as a rookie. There are only 6 or 7 QB's on the planet better than Dak. We are lucky to have him. Struck gold with that 4th round pick.

Beating SF is a lot more than Dak. We need a run game, we need great Oline play, we need the defense to play great all the way through and make plays. SF is an amazing team and those young QB's are only getting better.
Coach McCarthy is trying to change all to the plus side and he has full support from Jerry.

Hitting open receivers isn’t his problem. It’s poise under pressure and anticipating openings that aren’t quite there where he falls short.
So why is it he's one of the best against the blitz? one of the best against third and five or longer ,I mean he's right there with Patrick mahomes?? He's also been known to be one of the best or efficient or accurate deep ball guys you know what that means he has to hold the ball just a little longer before he lets that go that's not pressure?

I mean everyone can keep coming in here and try to put the guy down,

they fail as a team,TEAM

maybe you need to spell that properly,

it has nothing to do with the moment, has everything to do that they show up against the 49ers and have no offensive line, no run game, no skill player showing up except CD lamb...

You trying to make us believe that it's Prescott a single player that's been failing in the playoffs especially in the second round or against the 49ers because I remember all kinds of reasons we've been losing....

I mean Prescott lost in 2016 because of a bad defense. he lost in 2018 mostly because of a bad defense but also where was that run game?? the Rams had a great front seven and guess what happened our offensive line folded again, and how about 2021? 14 penalties guess what group had 11 of those penalties ,Yup the offensive line got their butts handed to them again and they couldn't handle it.... there was no run game 2022,

we've seen the videos we've seen the still shots one of the worst groups when it comes to pass rush win rate meaning Prescott had people in his face more often than not, also again no run game, you're trying to put this on Prescott when most of us who actually can see the big picture he's not even in the top 5 of our problems most playoff gamesd last year he finally made the top five before that it wasn't even close Prescott wasn't the reason we weren't moving on...

So maybe the team needs to show up and handle the pressure better as a whole including the coaching staff the play calls and all other who are on the active roster that day because it this is not about one player..

I think it’s consistency also. Look at the bucs playoff game. They threw every look at him they could and Dak stood in there the whole game and was making all the throws. As many times and the tight window throws he was making I was just waiting for the picks to happen. But then he will come in next time and make a bone head throw..
You do realize this is a team game and those players that were on the 70s through 90s teams that went to the Super bowls and won Super Bowls they had better teams around them you know why we know this because both Troy Aikman and Roger Staubach both did not have a great touchdown interception ratio in the playoffs meaning they had somewhere around 25 touchdowns and 19 interceptions in playoff games must be throwing a lot of boneheaded passes because you can't have that kind of touchdown interception ratio and say that you were careful with the football in crunch time that goes for their records in the regular season but I just wanted to make sure you understood that Roger Staubach and aikman threw a lot of interceptions in their careers they made a lot of mistakes and I'm sure some bad throws... The biggest difference is they were on teams much like Matthew Stafford could have 20 turnovers in a season and two in the Super bowl and somehow his team walked out with a Lombardi despite his issues you know why because most quarterbacks aren't perfect they make mistakes they fumble the football like jalen hurts or they have some games in the playoffs like Joe Burrows just his last game two interceptions go look at Josh Allen leads the league and turnover since he was drafted it literally happens to be that the best teams can seem to overcome mistakes by other players they're not asking people to be perfect this team is not ready for the 49ers. That's not on prescott alone yes he made some mistakes but not the other five games he was in the playoffs he was nowhere near the top five and the issues we had in those games last year he throws two now the whole narrative is he's not good under pressure..

Wrong his teams were NOT ready not good under pressure. If you wanna call that Gallup interception boneheaded you might want to go back and rewatch the play because Prescott on the snap thought gallop should run the comeback towards the sideline and let the ball go and gallop let himself be pushed off the play undercut by the defender and never made any effort to go back to get the ball.. And then we saw other players make mistakes all game as well I mean if you're gonna excuse Dalton Schultz for the two mental mistakes on that three minute drive and the fact that we had no run game and no offensive line I mean that might be part of it you guys might wanna ignore that and kick it under the carpet but I'm not kicking it under the turf.. Did he play his best no but neither did the team around him on offense and really if Trayvon diggs makes a few more plays if this defense ever wants to be a true championship defense that gets a name a moniker so to speak they're gonna need to make those plays when they are opportunities being handed them.. That's the difference between our other championship teams in the last 27 years the teams are not showing up together to play against the best caliber teams and they're losing by slim margins but they're losing nonetheless as a team...

It never ceases to amaze me, the lengths people will go.... in an attempt to convince others Dak is a great QB...lol.

Bro... just win in January. It's that simple. Get us to a Feb game....

All these made up stats, & formulas are meaningless to most fans. Good QB's win lots of games. Great QB's win lots of games in January & February.

People don't make up stats on the Cowboys...you simply ignore those and don't even offer a reasonable discussion beyond one's own negative stereotype.

Thats the thing take Mahomes and Brady out and who are these great QB's that continually win games in January and February? Past those 2 QB's its a crap shoot of diferent names. Is Hurt's great? Purdy? Allen? hell i think Burrows is but he got there once and lost so far..where are all these great QB's who win consitantly in the playoffs?

People don’t realize that it’s a team game. And in the playoffs teams are usually pretty even talent wise. So coaching is a must. Play calling needs to be better. The play Pollard was injured on was there all day but not called enough. Dak had really 1 WR he could trust and he ran poor routes a few times this year. And let’s face it, Dak made some bad choices a few times during the season. When the heat is on all QB get rattled. Daks rookie season was one of the best of any QB ever except Brady. And started getting compared by some to brady and that was a mistake. There will never be another brady.

Dak is getting no real excuses this season with better WR and hopefully a better O-Line and younger quicker RB the pressure will be on him. And MM also. But a better Defense will help us out. Only thing that can hamper us is injury.
We got beat last year on the analytics front. That's why our old guy got fired and we brought in a new analytics staff.

We were as predictable in our first game as we were in San Fran.

McCarthy needs to self-scout our analytics output and adjust to what teams see to make us less predictable.

An opponent will take advantage of tendencies when they choose.

Does one up the pay to top levels without production when Stephen is monitoring cap funds?
well, there are 15 QBs who are making 30M and above. there are 10 that are making 40M and above. with Burrows, Herbert, Lawrence, Tua coming up in the next year or two, we probably get close to 20 QBs making 30M and above.

its the market. it is what it is. salary cap goes up. salaries go up. QB salaries go up.

so tell me if in your mind 15 QBs are producing at 30M level and up?

you need to come to grips with realities of NFL QB salaries. doesn't sound like you have.

Had hope that we struck gold, but Im also a realist and understand completely that we have to play with the cards we are dealt, and we have no other better option than to role with Dak.
Believing that Dak still has an achievable ceiling is chasing fool's gold, we already know what Dak is.
The question that needs to be answered this season is can MM and Schott put the perfect Dak friendly system in, and if that happens, then we can get past SF.
The Dak friendly system involves a killer RPO game. Dak can't run like he used to and a back like the young Zeke is not playing RB. This will be Mike's toughest coaching year of his career.

Its was a 3rd down. Horrible play call.
Yeah and only needing 2 yards. I watched the play. The RT let the rusher go and pushed him past Dak and Martin had his guy stoned and the edge sealed. I thought Dak would slide right after the rusher was pushed by and take off to the goal and slide or sideline for an easy 7 yards and out of bounds. Apparently Moore called a pass and Dak went with the play. This season I want Dak to trust his instinct. He can do this.
