ESPN ranks Dak Prescott number 1 overall player under most pressure

Some folks just don't get it. No one cares about Stats Prescott.

Being the QB of the Cowboys comes with a lot of benefits - Dak isn't doing sleep number commercials if he's the QB of the Carolina Panthers.

So unless he wins something, no one cares about his stats. He's making big bucks just because he's a Cowboy. Win something, or go away.

It's telling how some people's biases started from Day 1. iow his first preseason game. The Romo die hards, but then there's the other group who wanted Carson Wentz and neither got what they wanted at the end. lol.
The thing is, Prescott is good. Romo is good as well, probably a tad better.

That's the thing, though. They're two different players. It doesn't have to be either or, for me, because I'm a fan of both, actually.

Regarding Dak, let's face it. We live in an antiquated society, so there's things he's facing that go way back, so I think it's something that people pretend in't there, but it is. Anyway.. That said, Cowboys fans have always been rabid, even when it came to Romo, etc. Think of all the Quinthy "jokes" that were just kinda lame. But that's how it goes here.

It's about to get insane next year. Dak is gonna be scrutinized for everything. Every loss, every INT, every little thing. There was already a meltdown with all 4 regular season losses he had last year.

I feel like next year if we can play with the lead in most games, Dak isn't gonna need to force the ball into traffic and we'll make other teams try to beat Micah Parsons and the defense. So it's hard to imagine he'll look the same as he did last year.

I don't see how Justin Fields belongs anywhere near the vicinity of the other 4, tho.

This is it for Dak do or die or swim or drown.
Personally, I see his head exploding(from the pressure) and simply being benched for Rush at some point as even folks like myself will feel sorrow for him as the spectacle on the field will be for only adults over 18.
P.S. He and Todd know it first and foremost and any word for an extension is null and void.

Whenever a player like Tony Romo had the ball with 2 minutes left, I would think, hey we have a good shot to win the game. I've never once had that thought when Dak had the ball at the end of the game. As a matter of fact, it's the opposite thought. Whether the stats for that agree with me or not--I have zero confidence in that guy.

Understandably so. He is the quarterback of the most popular team in the world.
No pressure. No pressure. No pressure.:facepalm:

I don't get it. He caused his OL-man to grab him from behind?
My memory needs some freshening up on this play.
I think that O-lineman was trying to pull the defender back and out of range to pummel Dak. It sure wasn't a good look, though . . .:omg:

Finally! Thank you sir.

I rank ESPN as the sports channel under the most pressure.

This subject is an example of them buckling under the pressure.

He should be being he was outplayed by a backup. All these rankings I see on here you’d think he wins that playoff game. He accurately threw to the wrong team I guess.

dak has done nothing in 8 years. and will not do anything going forward. it is as simple as that. a mediocre QB who folds at important games and shines in some games against overmatched opponenets. why can't the dak lovers get it after 8 years ?

I believe the NFL Films production of the 2023 Super Bowl Champion Dallas Cowboys will be titled "Hot Boyz".

And let's be honest, the only reason they were called the Doomsday Defense is because they didn't think of naming themselves the Hot Boyz.

Accept it. It's now in our franchise DNA.

Ditto for me. Jerry should have drafted Hurts and tossed Dak aside. But nope, Jerry is going to ride this train off a cliff, just like he did with Romo.

You might get a better response if you ask why water is wet or why the sun is hot. Dak-stans are a stubborn bunch who are willing to go down with that ship no matter what.
very true. seems they cannot see Dak is not a SB caliber QB . They keep thinking NFL teams can overcome such QB shortcomings and mistakes , like other teams 15 and 20 years ago did with Trent dilfer etc. These days it is a QB centric game and we have a mediocre declining nice guy QB .

Too many are acting like Dak had a terrible season and that this season will be make or break for him…wrong! He was 8-4 last season and led the Cowboys to their first road playoff win in 30 years and was dominating against Tom Brady of all QBs. It’s not going to be make or break for him until the Cowboys come up with a better option at QB. The problem last season was the INT’s’s and he can correct that. INT’s have never been an issue for him until last season.

Dak being mentioned with Trent Dilfer again.
