I agree on Joseph. He wasn't bad. That play at the end was a little lazy. The talent is there.
I watched it a few times and when the receiver stopped and came back it was like Joseph thought the play was over it something.

Was very strange but I see improvement.

I really like in the first quarter against Seattle first string, Joseph was lining guys up on defense. That shows an understanding of his assignment

I don’t think you can keep Simi Fehoko on this team. He’s just been here too long to be that unimpressive. He sat there in the end zone instead of coming back to the ball and just let that INT happen. Horrible throw by Grier but you have to come back to the ball

Well at least we know the true CB emerging from this…Jordan Lewis

I thought between Joseph, Mukuamu, and Scott, someone would step up….not really
Has Mukuamu played? I mean I'm sure he has, but I don't actively recall seeing him.

Not much. Unspectacular backups playing. Overshown injured is probably the biggest takeaway
Yeah, this game was one of the least entertaining in a while. But it's preseason. I just hope McCarthy's team comes out more prepared than last year. They need to get their adjustments down.

Yeah, I'm out on Simi.. Plays too scared, and you can't do that in the NFL.

Yep he played a lot. 24. He was yelling at the defense near the end of game. Probably out of desperation

I see Mazi is the whipping boy this year.

Personally, I thought he had a decent game last week and did some good stuff tonight. He will backup Hankins until he gets some more experience.
To those who wanted someone else chosen for the #1 draft pick, they're not going to cut him any slack no matter what. He'll be expected to do everything perfect on every single play, and that still won't be adequate for some.

Nah, we'd just settle for him looking like a first round pick. And what's with some of you guys making excuses? This is nothing personal against you or Mazi. I just don't believe in excuse making. Not at this level.

Sam Williams was also pretty good. I think the roughing penalty was a bad break. He was falling....momentum caused him to fall into the play.

I was very disappointed we didn't get to see Aubrey attempt a FG. I was hoping that Rush wouldn't take a sack at the end of that first drive.

It's sad but you're 100 percent right.

You nailed it. I mean, before the guy even got a chance to play a few snaps, it had already started. If you see fans saying Mazi was this or that, that would likely be why. He wasn't in there to get sacks or make plays by himself. He's in there to occupy. You see lots talking about his quickness getting off the snap, but he's just a lane clogger right now... not a pass rusher.

I don't understand why people do that. It often doesn't age well.
On every play?
No.. Weren't you here?
