If he shows ANYTHING, you can flip him for a decent pick.

We've seen plenty of teams do this in the past.
If he shows anything then you keep him and you get rid of Cooper rush this is a more mobile guy he's younger he can have more upside with Cooper rush that's all you got is a 40th ranked backup quarterback who's a bus driver at best who the rest of the team has to play in an elite level in order for him to even be relative that's a fact.. So somehow they can get a Gino Smith type career turn around from this kid and at his age early now seven years younger than Gino Smith maybe we end up having him as a very good backup quarterback... No reason to flip the guy you try to make him the best backup quarterback you can.. I mean if you can turn the guy into a tyrod Taylor type that would be a great start to getting things going in the right direction use his mobility and go from there

Kyle Shanahan

"[W]hen we told Trey that he wasn’t the two, I said we’d like to keep him here as the three, but we also want to do what’s good for him too, and we’ll see how this plays out,” Shanahan said after the preseason game against the Chargers. “When we looked into other teams and he told us that he would like another opportunity to go somewhere where we had a chance to be the two, we thought we got some good deals for him. There’s a number of teams involved to end up getting the fourth was a little better than we anticipated and clears up a lot of money and allows a better situation for him too.”

Lance started only 9 games in HS. 19 in college and 5 in the NFL. How many games he he played in the last 5 years?
if that's the case, there is a long learning curve for him. he better get to the study room and watch a ton of film. he has a lot of catching up to do.

Jerry gave them more than any other team was.

Here is what I like…Dak is a completely different player than Rush. Dak is mobile and probably a better thrower on the move. He is big and physical. Rush is a statue. At best an intermediate thrower from the pocket. He is soft. They are complete opposites.

It would stand to reason that you’d want a back up that has a similar skill set to the starter. Lance is that.

I don’t know if McCarthy can fix him and turn him into a starter. I do know Lance is way better than Rush or Grier.

A low risk high reward scenario.
they are OK with Rush, they want better. also, they are taking a low cost flier, on a developmental player. they have two years to see if this kid can turn it around. if not, then they know where they stand and they have to hit draft.

I’d say somewhere like Tampa

Arizona is full on tank for Caleb Williams
how can you take for another first round quarterback when you just paid one a big time contract and how you're gonna get out from underneath kyler Murray's guaranteed money and dead cat money??? That doesn't make any sense at all I mean once you lay out that kind of cash you don't have much of A choice and I mean how bad are the Cardinals at picking first round quarterbacks and head coaches because they did it two years in a row and now they're already looking to blow it up again

That protection shield around Dak just got a few more cracks in it today and you're shaking in your booties.

If Dak leads the team to the NFC Championship I'll never post again. If he don't you never post again. Deal?
OMG. the TMZ drama...the drama, like a 9th grade high school girls drama play....

Cooper Rush can't do this.

That's nice you dugout one nice player too but here's the problem he's gonna have to learn our offense he's taking over for will grier RB3 but he is not in contention for Cooper Russell's job quite yet that might take the entire year or that'll be next year but that will not be this year I doubt that they may find a package for him Wildcat and do some things with him especially in practice to prepare for games against mobile quarterbacks he is not gonna be running back2

This is asinine. There were reports that a meeting between Lance and Shanahan did not go well.

All your post tells me is that you lack imagination.
Right the Vikings and Buffalo Bills were very interested if we weren't the only team I mean it's not exactly like it's anything but potential I mean the guys gonna have to resurrect his career and prove a lot to the Cowboys but other teams were interested

what';s your solution? lets dump Dak, who do you got that's defintley better than Dak?

if you didn't notice, 9ers had Purdy, Lance's replacement. do you think they would have dumped Lance if they didn't have purdy.

so who you got? are you putting all your cards on Lance. speak up.
I love when the peanut gallery who supported the decisions that created this mess ask me how I'd clean it up.

Well I would have never made the mess to begin with. Dak Prescott wouldn't be a Dallas Cowboy if it were up to me, much less on a disgustingly cap killing contract.

Goodbye Dak if he doesn't make it to the SB this year?
If you really think that this is a potential Prescott move in order to threaten his job you haven't been watching what was going on in 49er land dude get past it are you kidding me he is not the potential replacement for Prescott at this point that's just ignore it literally will Greer that's who he's replacing literally that's it there is no expectations after that you'll have to prove a lot before we can even start discussing whether he's even gonna be the backup quarterback of the future alright so let's get that through your head and any other fan who thinks this move was somehow to put pressure on Prescott it was not

I like how the peanut shell gallery who just wants to dump a player because they have no clue how football works, is coming around incessently b!tching

Well, I would at least have a plan in place to avoid a mess. are you putting your name next to lance? are you going to put all your support behind him? or you got no balls and wear a pink tutu?

and what cap killing contract? we just extended Martin. We just extended Diggs. We are about to extend Lamb and Parsons. I am waiting for this cap killing notion to actually materialize. I am worried I will be dead and 6 feet under and it still not going to happen.

please, tell us when this cap killing thing is going to stop us signing somebody....

That’s the problem in believing you can fix problems other people have tried very hard to fix. He may have been talented when he came out but when he couldn’t show any progress after 2-3 years in a QB friendly offense he’s no longer a good prospect. IMO
He’s 23 years old LMAO

He seems upset.

I'm sorry you were so wrong and now we're stuck with a bum QB making Mahomes money. I'm not interested in playing your fan boy game of how I would clean up your mess. I would have been smart enough not to ever make it.

Anyone who dislikes Prescott has to love this move even if Lance doesn't progress. It tells everyone the front office are considering their options with Prescott. He hasn't been offered an extension, Parsons and Lamb will be given gigantic contracts next year. It clearly shows that they are looking at cutting Prescott next year post June.
Lmao. Seriously, No, it’s about Cooper Rush they already tried to get rid of him
