I don't mind this acquisition. Why? Because if we move on from Dak, it will be time to tank, and there isn't a better QB out than Lance to lose us some games!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dang 56 pages, not sure if worth reading though it all. I was traveling when I seen this. Just now getting to catch up on things.

This was a great trade, 4th round for a former 1st round. Was he #3 overall?
Hilarious to see that some do not like this. You would think the anti Dak group would love it. But some do not. However to some it is just another thing to complain about.

They are. ... Complain over Dallas fans ... :lmao2:

However, I wonder since they wast 2nd round picks, and get decent players in the 4th. Should they have trade the 2nd round, and got a 4th back. :muttley:

Please be fair and also call out the Dak over Dallas fans who are doing all they can to minimize the trade ramifications as it relates to Dak and his upcoming season/subsequent extension talks.

Exactly, people are complaining about this lol. You should always look at QB’s especially a 23 year old that was picked #3. Low risk to check him out, high reward if he figures it out and fits in the Cowboys offense a year or two from now.
Right.
I laugh that the ones, that say ... Jerry needed to draft a QB ... then complain when he makes a good trade, low risk. high reward one at that.

I did not call out any type of of fan, but mentioned the complainers about getting a potentially good to great QB for a 4th round pick.
There is no such urban legend as Dak over Dallas fans. If you are a fan of any player and want to win games, then you are a fan of Dallas.

That is far better than the ones saying they want Dallas and Dak to fail.

Hello Robert. Jerry Jones here. Dak would look good in New England. Stable team and organization to support him. I would be willing to listen if you guys are interested and I think Dak would waive some clauses in his contract to land in a good spot. Talk to Bill and give me a call back

Dak's days are numbered. All Lance has to do with this team is not turn the ball over and it's NFC Championship game.

I suppose you could be right....or perhaps not.

The good news is he is 23 years old and was considered a top rated prospect in a draft class that included talents like Lawrence and Fields. I just don’t see the athleticism that he was supposed to have. I remember he was supposed to be Fields on steroids.
I think Fields could be a hell of a QB myself. I was impressed when we played Chicago that game.

Then Dallas' future will continue to explode too....and not in a good way.
Perhaps ! This does appear to be his best chance . I unlike you don’t believe he’s the ONLY problem this team has had . He’s just like the previous QB isn’t good enough to overcome the issues. Trey lance is just a worse version of Dak at the moment

This will shake up the roster now. We will carry three QBs on the 53.

Who goes?

Do we go with only 2RBs now? Does Fowler get traded/cut? We go with only 5WR? Go short somewhere else?

Havent watched Lance to know much about him. He cant be worse than Grier. But Grier wasnt making the 53. Lance will be.

Dude is a rookie with very good raw skills. He played what? 4 games? You gotta be kidding me. I've seen him play. Dude is talented. Just needs to slow the game down for himself....lol
so do you think you know ore than Shanahan? Were you at practice? In the film room? How bad do you have to be for a team to give up on you that fast after giving away all those draft picks???

They traded like 3 or 4 picks to draft him. So he was basically a super number 3 overall pick.

here are the facts:
Trey Lance has the PHYSICAL tools to be an NFL QB, Cooper Rush doesn't really have those but can keep the boat off the shore in a dire situation, if Trey Lance can learn to use his physical tools then its a sure fire win at the 2nd QB.
Dak is MILES better than Trey Lance right now MILES better, but that doesn't mean Trey can not settle in put his head down and work to make up that gap.. if he can you have a great young talent for a 4th round pick.. thats a STEAL!

for the "We pay 40 million at the QB blah blah blah" club..if Trey Lance does become a good starting QB and replace Dak (nothing wrong with this BTW) guess what the Cowboys will have to do... yup thats right they will have to pay him to play QB just like every other team has to do....
