That is the point of activating him. Players on PUP are NOT ALLOWED TO PRACTICE. They need to activate him so he can get into practice, and get ready to play. He's medically ready to go, but needs to be able to practice each week to get into game shape. If they keep him on PUP, in keeps him from practicing with the team for another 5-1/2 weeks.
SO why didn't they activate him earlier? Patrik No C is saying he was ready 2 weeks ago...wouldn't it have made sense to already having him back on the practice field?

He was worse this has me stumped.
I think it has to do with the shooting, and the victim's family having it out for Joseph. It's very possible they are looking at a civil suit of some kind. I'm not certain on that. But I suspect Dallas wanted to disassociate themselves from that particulars of that situation, and start anew with a player who has similar potential.

BB mentioned this on the break today prior to it happening. He said he believes the would waive all three and then bring them back. He said that he believes that each week they will call up one of them from the practice squad.
This might be a backup plan....McCarthy was asked about it and didn't answer, said maybe should check back tomorrow. So there is certainly a plan of some kind.

I think that Leupke will be a stud.
Not saying he won't be. I just personally think Cropper potentially brings more value down the line. Luepke may have the advantage now because his positions are easier to learn whereas a WR, especially one of Cropper's build, will take some time to develop. Not saying he's Stephon Diggs. But he has some of the same elements to his game and a very similar build. I realize Diggs was more ready coming out and that Cropper hasn't sniffed Digg's potential. To me, Cropper is very similar to Tolbert last year and may need another year to develop. Cropper came from a supportive family, and is very serious about the game and becoming an NFL player. JMO.

Cropper would definitely make the PS...doubt anyone is going to claim him.

I usually like your takes on subjects and always respect your opinion even if I don't agree.... and in this one I don't agree. Have far down the depth chart would Cropper be?... for how long? Luepke brings aspects of RB, TE, and WR to the table. He has much more to offer more immediately than Cropper.

Why is everyone so high on Cropper. Or seems to be. He did not really do anything in the PS games. Never heard him mentioned much in practices.
Or is he just the next over rated Cedric Wilson. Flashed a few plays but was not a huge difference maker overall. And only took him 4 years to do so.

I was more impressed by Billy-Johnson.

Early on in camp he stood out. But Brooks quickly became the guy. Cropper still had a good camp though. Durden caught their eye as well. He had Div 1 skills but played low level of competition and had a lot of work to do. But he was showing them a lot of improvement through camp.

He is good, but they have an extra 3 or 4 guys that are good enough to play. Nice depth. They best overall group that they have ever had.
