Meh. He's lost a step and what decent speed he had left this year. Cowboys talked to him but decided against signing him for a reason.
This may be true but we need help so Daknis not forced into throwing 40 times …. this predictable offense is going to cost us eventually and it puts Dak at a greater risk to constantly get hit.

But the flip side is maybe Cook didn’t want to come here and didn’t even take any offer serious …

If you been paying attention Dallas Offense is a passing offense, so there is no emphasis on running the ball like in the past. So it makes no sense to go at a RB now. Besides, the OL and the run scheme are not opening running lanes.

The Cowboys signed La'el Collins, which, is a much better signing than Cook for what they have going on.

Broaddus mentioned the other day that the Cowboys didn't have any interest in Cook..Dowdle and Pollard are both better than Cook, the problem with the Cowboys running game is the offensive line
Even our Pro Bowl OL can’t help these scrubs.

Will be surprised if any of them are back in March.

Obviously the best team right now in the league thinks he still has something left in the tank! Fact is, the Boys do not have a power back to take the load off of TP and it has hurt him and the team this season! Yeah I know he will most likely get to 1,000 yards this season which equivocates to a whopping 58.83 yards per the 17 game season. It's not the stat it used to be! If the best teams in the league are grabbing players when available I don't understand Jerry not wanting to bolster his team? Maddening!
I’d have to imagine that cook would pick Baltimore over Dallas. Them having a first round bye would be a huge factor IMO.

Can’t run….cause don’t wanna run.

Of course why would we sign him. Even if he isn’t what we are hoping, it shows we are at least trying to improve the running back position. I guess we were too cheap we only over pay for our own guys.

Cook couldn’t even make the Cowboy’s practice squad.

The same people crying about Cook are the same ones who had a hissy fit over the Eagles signing LB Leonard, who, by the way, stinks and is washed up. Nothing more than Jaylon Smith at this point.

Rue to your heart’s content.

Hopefully, this new pickup can help?

They fix it in the draft.

Too much 2023 cap tied up in the RBs.

This kind of thinking keeps you from getting better. It might prove to be true, but why not try? It's not like you have to cut Pollard and Dowdle to make room for him or even play him if he's not better. Our running game has been suspect to poor, so I'd be throwing every dart at it I can until one connects.
