I just don't understand. This is a talented roster filled with Cowboys picks. They have brought in 5 current all pro's in the last 4 years. Hell, the guy they wanted this year (LaPorta) is an all pro. Do some people live in a world where teams have 20 all pro's? Where their favorite baseball players hit 0.951?

If people want to bash Jerry/the Cowboys for the train wreck that was 1995 to 2005 or so or the Jason Garrett experience, go ahead. I'll be there right with you. The team has been pretty well run lately and the results bear that out.

Told y'all, McClay is already the GM in function for the most valuable franchise in sports reporting to the owner. Going to another team would have been a step down.

Will McClay will never leave, we are lucky to have him as our drafting guru. and undercover GM.
Will is a family man first and foremost and is very comfortable where he is and will never leave, that's just who he is, we as cowboy's fans should all be rejoicing.

Yeah, McClay already knows he will be GM in Dallas when Jerry… er… vacates the position.

He already is making a ton of money, has his family embedded in Dallas, and knows he will be GM of the premier sports team in the world. He already gets a ton of credit and the personnel team in place for Dallas has been knocking home runs.

He’s just going to wait. I said this when it came out that other team’s wanted to interview him. He’s not going anywhere.

They are not busts. Give them the allotted time for most draft picks.
Then again you are never positive about anything.
He’s positive about Philly… or was prior to their implosion.

He belongs to a small, exclusive group of fans that joined the Zone in Sept/Oct. of last year, make fun of everything Dallas does, and tell us how great Philly / Howie Roseman are.

It is amazing really. You’d think that you couldn’t find even one Cowboys fan that hates everything about Dallas and thinks Philly does everything right…. But we were lucky enough to have a group of them!

It must just be coincidence that so many joined last season when the Eagles were doing so good.

He's also not going to be the GM of this team. Not now and not post Jerry.

I never thought he'd leave. Once out of this protective cocoon he'd be exposed. He's got it good here and he knows it. There's zero accountability.
Well, that and the fact that he allegedly makes more than many current GMs.

Will McClay seems to have no self-respect.
As others have noted, he will likely be GM here which happens to be the most valuable one in sports AND is pretty loyal to certain people. Once Jerry goes, being GM of the Cowboys is going to be the premiere job in sports like with Tex Schramm.

Quite frankly, McClay is aiming higher.
