Zimmerman is getting his chance at DC but I do not want him to be our HC.

So what! According to you, the old-school coaches can't get it done. You seem to want it both ways. You don't want an old-school coach until you do. Maybe you shouldn't be focusing on age and rather focus on qualifications. Zim is more than qualified to be our DC and starting in 2025, our HC.

Seeing MM is in his last year, it’s either the Cowboys extend him or let him go after another early playoff exit.

The hiring of Zimmer as DC is a pretty good indicator of what JJ is thinking after the MM years. Would Zimmer come on board with a lame duck HC knowing full well he has an opportunity to become the HC?

A lot can happen from now until then but knowing JJ he’ll go with what’s comfortable to him and moving Zimmer up after MM is a total Jerrah move.

if there is a Super Bowl winning coach chances are he's currently employed or retired except for Belichick
