The ones that stand out to me are Marvelous Ms. Masel’s lead as Lois Lane, Anthony Carrigan from Barry as Metamorpho and Nathan Fillion from Serenity as Guy Gardner.

I can easily see all three of those doing a great job in the role based on what I’ve seen them in, and knowing the character.

The two casting choices that I’m not sold on are Superman and Lex Luthor, I’ll wait until the trailer. The rest of them, I don’t know the actor,actress and/or character.

The guy kinda looks like Supes, but he needs to bulk up, including his face.

Rachel Brosnahan would be possibly the best Lois Lane ever, if they write it well for her.

I don't know the guy playing Lex, but he looks iffy, just judging by the pictures.

Nathan Fillion seems a bit old and out of shape to be Green Lantern. I like him a lot, but this may not be a good fit. I could be wrong.

Most of the other characters are pretty generic, IMO.

Nicholas Hoult and Edi Gathegi! It is a reunion of the cast from X-Men: First Class, one of my top five mutant movies made by FOX. Two great choices for Luthor and Mr. Terrific in my opinion.

~Taxi Driver pics above~ I can see it. There was a television series called Paper Moon, same as the movie. That was my first memory of Jodie Foster. I was still a kid like her but I could tell she was a pretty darn good actress at the time. Then she did Taxi Driver as a teenager on top of that.

She could pull off the tomboy-ish side of Leia, especially her sense of independence. What worked against her in my opinion was that her appearance matched her actual age. The twins were supposed to be 18 or 19 for Episode IV and Carrie Fisher was 19 when she was cast. Foster was 13 or 14.

Having Foster play up in age might have been challenging for George Lucas at the time. It did not stop Lucas from having Harrison Ford, who was in his mid-thirties, play down in age. Admittedly, Foster and Ford would have been initially awkward to look at on screen side-by-side for the first movie. It would have been less so for me by Episode V.

Most fraternal twins look different but Fisher and Mark Hamill's facial differences were distinct. Hamill and Foster would have been much more similar, even their hair.

Foster was in Freaky Friday, so she proved she could do lighthearted big screen stuff. The auditions would have been interesting to watch her interact with Ford and Hamill, multi-actor tryouts Lucas made certain there would be real chemistry between the eventual main cast. I would love to see if she did any auditions. Supposedly, Lucas did offer her the role, but filming conflicted with her Disney commitments.

I am 100% happy Fisher was Leia. Loved what she did with the role in everything she did. I even enjoy producers incorporating her old lines into video games, lol. That said, in hindsight, Foster would have finished the last batch of films. Fisher's life caught up with her. She died too young.

I think that Rachel Brosnahan is a perfect casting choice for Lois Lane. Her portrayal of Mrs. Maisel was Lois Lane in my opinion (and I think James Gunn’s opinion as well).

I’m legit excited for this one.

Oh wow, I just looked up pics of her in 1976. She and Mark Hamill looked like they could have been siblings. I know Lucas hadn't made Luke and Leia siblings at that point, but it would have fit after the fact. She could have played the part as good as Carrie Fisher was in it.

It wasn't until RoTJ that Lucas made the decision. In fact, in the original scripts Leia wasn't his sister and finding his sister in the outer rim was going to be part of the plot of a sequel to RoTJ, but Lucas wanted to end the Star Wars saga because of his divorce at the time, so suddenly a bunch of things conveniently got wrapped up...like Leia being his sister. Also, Only Vader was supposed to have died in RoTJ. The trilogy after that was supposed to focus on the Emperor and taking him down...which I think is why the Disney travesty trilogy sort of did that, as ridiculously stupid as it was.

You have to look at why Fisher had the life she did. Untreated bipolar disorder for years caused drug abuse. She was clean and sober for years after regular maintenance ECT. But by then it was too late, sadly.

Keep hope alive, my friend. Keep hope alive. :muttley: I still do not believe there is enough upper management stability for both studios to pull this particular trigger. Merging both comic book publishers into one studio via a merger might be more realistic but I think it would take even more imagination for a single studio head to sign off on it. These fake movie poster head-to-head face-offs are something else:

Captain America vs Superman :oops:
Iron Man vs Batman :p
Thor vs Wonder Woman :cool:
Wolverine vs Aquaman :rolleyes:
Cyclops vs Cyborg :)

lol .. i too gaffed at the image foe vs foe matchup from the movie poster, ... i would not fantom a competent director would
present such matchup in the actual movie (unless it is director Tim Story ?)
it is far indifference from the actual Marvel vs DC comic book series.

It was one terrible idea after another. Every decision they made was a mistake.

This movie deserves every bit of grief that it’s received. This movie deserves to be a box office bomb. This movie deserves to be the lowest grossing film in MCU history.

And even worse, the directions that they look to be going in based on events introduced here make it look like things aren’t improving any time soon.

This thing gets a 1 out of 10 from me and a vow to never watch this train wreck again.

Love the Joseph Quinn pick for Johnny Storm. :starspin:

Holding my breath on Pedro Pascal as Dr. Richards. He is a very good pick if the script is sound AND he is allowed to play the role within his acting strengths. He will be a dumb pick if they make him into something he is not on screen, like in Wonder Woman 1984. Then again, that would apply to any actor.

Iffy too on Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm. I have seen her in Fast & Furious but I have not watched her Mission: Impossible or The Crown roles. I *think* she can handle the action part of her role but *seeing* her as The Invisible Woman* might take me a sec. She will not make me forget how good Jessica Alba looked as Susan but she should easily beat her predecessors dramatically (unless the script is pathetic).

Ebon Moss-Bachrach does give me a good vibe as Benjamin Grimm. The role has been filled, so I am now concerned just how often they will show an NON mutanted The Thing. I will be okay with seeing him outside of costume during flashbacks, bonding with Reed for instance. I will be pissed if they go against canon, like Dr. Fate in Black Adam, where actor swaps from character to alter ego back to character, yada yada yada. Also hope they stay AWAY from canon and start The Thing in brick form instead of his mud form.
