Shultz never used it as an insult. He never said the organization. I watched him on the MacAfee show.
Shultz talked very briefly about the difference in Houston vs Dallas. He was talking about fans constantly touring the practice facility and being able to watch guys workout in the weight room through a one way mirror and how they’d tap on the window to get your attention. He called it like being in a zoo, referring to people tapping on the window of an animal enclosure. He said you just assume it’s like that everywhere until you go somewhere else and see it isn’t. He actually said Houston was more like college, then corrected himself knowing that may not sound good.

Now, long time fans may think and say that the organization is a zoo, but Dalton Shultz never did.
People are projecting their own narratives into what Dalton said. I agree that what he said wasn’t nearly as damning as being portrayed.

I’m not sure what people are defending here. It’s a circus! We already knew that but are now upset with a former player for pointing out the obvious?

So easy to talk when you leave a team and sign an extension with a new one isn't it? Do you think playing for the Yankees or big-market teams is any different? If you can't handle the Dallas heat then go find a team elsewhere....

I heard him say, " the place was a circus, and Jerry likes it that way"

Seems pretty clear cut to me

A team focused on football vs a team focused on the marketing of it's players. And some wonder why the cowboys players are not always focused on winning.

WHAT??? Schultz's stats absolutely prove him wrong. How do you think he accumulates stats? Through his performance. And where has he performed best? Playing with Dallas!

Schultz is a big time lying, big mouth loser!
Are you off your meds again? His comment had nothing to do with stats.

The culture in Dallas is one of a marketing company. Not a football business. It's more Mad Men than Pittsburgh Steelers all football all the time operation.

Did you graduate high school? Reading comprehension is seriously lacking.
Were you in the locker room, weight room, training room, etc? Neither was I, but Schultz was . And you're calling someone who has firsthand knowledge a liar.

they made no real effort to sign him.
he took a large pay cut to go to the Texans on a 1-year 6M deal because Dallas wasn't interested.
playing on the franchise tag he dropped 2 passes in the playoff loss so Dallas moved on.
he is obviously happy in houston as they just gave him a 3-year extension for 36M.
Texans won and Dallas did not.

He literally said it was like a "zoo" with people tapping on the glass while they worked out. I found that hilarious. "Jerry's pets".....it's laughable to think they'll ever win another SB. Doesn't matter who the QB is. Definite clown world.
I believe the Cowboys would have a better chance at winning if they move on from Prescot. He just doesn't have what it takes to THAT QB in the NFL. The man cannot stand the pressure that goes with the job and has to GO!

Like better chance with the likes of guys like Romo, Hutchinson, Drew Henson, Drew Bledsoe, Vinny Testaverde, Quincy Carter? or just hoping Jerry lucks into another guy? There's more proof that won't happen but I get it. I do think it is time to move on too but it could get incredibly ugly looking for another QB. I stand by the fact we won't see another SB before Jerry kicks the bucket and probably longer because of his idiot son.

Yeah, duh...we know this. But you might be "all football" in Houston, but good luck commanding any attention whatsoever unless you are in the Super Bowl. You got a three-hour radius of fans; the rest of the country doesn't care about Texans football. Having said that, they will probably see a SB before we will.
I don't care how popular the Cowboys are. Does nothing for me.
Them winning however..............
