Did Cooper go 5-1 last year?? Im pretty sure that was 2 years ago when we still could run the ball very good. That is not the case now... and yes, wed look like the jets if Lance took over.
OMG, not this again. what's with this 5-1 thing....first he went 4-1. and second, during his wins, the defense averaged giving up 13 points a game. and they also scored a couple of times. offense led by Rush was 22nd and worse in almost every statistical category. nothing he did, none of his stats were top 15. the first time a team scored 20 points on cowboys we got blown out, because the offense couldn't respond.

now, give me a defense like that and I will show you a superbowl ring.

Some of the fans on here want to remove Lance from the team asap.

This is because Lance is going to replace Dak soon.

#Lance2024
lance going to replace Dak :muttley::lmao::lmao2:

Lance couldn't replace Rush, lets get through that first before going for starting position.

you do know his team dumped him for a 7th rounder. they traded 3 first rounders to move up to get him. and then dumped him for a 4th.

you are way too funny duncan

he did have a chance. he was drafted 3rd overall for that very purpose. he got a chance to play and showed nothing. he was injured a couple of times that cut his season short, but the time he had, it was obvious he was way over his head. by the same token, Purdy came in and just made the same offense, same personnel Click. so what excuse did Lance have? none I guess. so he got traded.
Played in 6 games, started 2 games. One which was a constant downpour in Chicago.

SF had to make a decision, Purdy that they seen a lot of, and won with a strong surrounding team. Just as Garoppolo did.
So Purdy on a rookie 7th round contract. Or Lance, that they still did not know enough about with a $5 million hour deal dan looming $25 million 5th year option.

However we have near sighted fans than will not see this.

I get it. You're scared.

Dak makes you comfortable.

It’s cool. That’s your choice, bro.
scared....lol. Hey, be a gambler, dont resign Dak and just draft our qb in the last rd like the Niners. I mean if they did it, certainly we should be able to do the same.

I'd be happy if we just got our 4th round pick back. I still don't understand why we made that trade. However, Mac Jones has done more in this league than Lance and he only got the Patriots a 6th.
Because Jerry thinks he’s smart and lets him think that he is so they can continually fleece him on dumb trades like this…or Cooper for a fifth….or Roy Williams for a first…

:lmao:

Mac Jones has done nothing but be bad. Trey Lance has not even had a chance yet in the grand scheme of any playing time.
Trey Lance is going into his 4th year in the league and has played in 8 games. He got a chance to be the starter on a loaded 49ers offense and couldn't cut it and was beat out by a guy drafted in the 7th round. I'm not a Mac Jones fan but he was handed crap when given the starting QB job in NE. His rookie year he threw for 3,801 yards and had a passer rating of 92.5. His career has graded out to being equivalent to Daniel Jones so far. They have very similar numbers.

That being said, I only mentioned Mac Jones because he was just traded and you can use him as a measuring point. If Lance was thought of so highly then more teams would have jumped on the train and try to trade for him last year. It was reported that Dallas offered the 49ers much more compensation then they were expecting and much more than any other team offered for Lance. Jerry bidding against himself again. So if no one else was offering a round 4 pick last year except Dallas then what makes anyone think teams are all of a sudden going to get hyped about Lance now. He hasn't done anything to warrant a team thinking he would be worth more.

Jerry wouldn’t trade Lance for a 2nd. If Minnesota wanted Lance, they would have traded for him last offseason.

I am reading a lot of excuses why the 3rd overall pick struggled. but nobody said he didn't struggle so at least we established that.

and if you think money had anything to do with it, then I don't think you understand. they didn't even trust lance as the backup, since they signed another failed first rounder as backup (Darnold).

so nearsighted fans see all of this. I still don't see it. all I am seeing is a long list of excuses, because its grass greener on the otherside.

Truth is, not a one of us truly knows anything about the situation.
All speculation just to like or hate about something else. Mostly hate from on here.
