How many of you are overreacting to lack of Cowboys participation in FA so far?

The misconception is that fans want the Cowboys to go and over spend on every available free agent and sign 15 guys on day one. That's not reality. Not every single player signed these last 2-3 days were extremely overpaid. Dallas can't sign one of them? Ever? One year can't sign one guy at a position of need?
Exactly.

But it also shows the weakness and disingenuous nature of those that come here to defend Dallas by arguing that it's smart to not make the big splash signings. Total strawman because most fans simply want them to work the middle tier of FA and find solid additions - like a Zach Moss. Or a Josey Jewell. Two guys that would helped and were not all that expensive.

Bingo...LB was a massive hole last year and a top reason this team got blown out in the playoffs. They couldn't find $12M per year for a legitimate guy like Luvu?

Specially after getting manhandled in the playoffs. 1 medium move on day 1 to show you actually care. Nevermind some teams already signing multiple guys we can’t get 1 freaking signing from an incompetent FO? It’s sad!

I wasn't expecting anything and I am glad they aren't doing anything in free agency.

This team is more than a few players for competing for a Super Bowl.

The only thing free agency would do is put us more in cap hell for the up and coming seasons.

The window for this Dak lead Cowboys team is shut!

LOL.

Who said anything about splash signings? Dallas is even making smart, financial responsible acquisitions.

You think you guys would get tired of constantly having to defend the Cowboys and Jerry/Stephen after they constantly let you down year after year after year.
Another “fan” who has given up and quit. I get it the post boomer crowd, especially millennials, want everything NOW because they’ve been use to things handed to them from day 1.

Luvu?

Shoot they could have had Josey Jewell for like $7.5MM a year and he would immediately be our best LB.

They are cheap in FA. They don't want to put in the effort to manage the cap to make this team a legitimate contender. At the end of the day, they don't know how to build a winner and that's clearly been proven under 27 years of GM'ing but Jerry and then his son.

Nah just a fan who isn't a naive fool who consistently believes what the Cowboys are doing will work despite 27 years of proof that it does not. Not gullible enough to think year after year after year that they know what they are doing when it's clear they do not at this point.

We want everything NOW? LOL, that doesn't even make any sense. How much longer, though, should we have to wait as fans for Jerry's master plan to kick in here and work?

This is why people on this board think you are one of the biggest goofs here.

Immediately after the season you were talking about how Jerry and the team have to do what's necessary to make the team better. You even were a bit critical of Jerry saying all the mistakes and issues end with him.

And then two months later, here you are, defending the Cowboys and criticizing the fans who rightfully are calling out the Cowboys for not deviating from a plan that has resulted in literally the same disappointing seasons over and over and over.

How many of you are shamelessly overreacting to the lack of Cowboys participation in FA so far? You do realize that big splash signings have an extremely low success rate, right? Save your fake outrage for another day!
No tired of it

when its been 30 years, none of us have overreacted. We reacted just right, according to the actions/results or lack thereof. We all have well earned that right. The onus is now on Jerry and Stevie to put up or shut up. THEY created the all in mantra, not us. So we are only holding them to account.

And out of those 30... 3 have been correct. The Rams, Eagles, and Bucs.

How many FA signings have the Chiefs had?
And the team that sits out FA each and every year continues to be incorrect.

And that's really all that matters, not what the other 31 teams do. What Dallas does matters and they continue to nickel and dime in FA, try to sell us on schlubs like AJ Dillon as important signings and then go out and fail season after season.

I don't know, maybe change up the strategy given the buckets and buckets of postseason failures?

Plus pointing to KC not signing a ton of outside FAs so it's cool if we do it too is a stupid comparison because they have a Hall of Fame QB and a Hall of Fame HC leading them. We don't. So therefore, we need to be better and field a better roster.

I will take it if they do not mess with Daks contract. I more than willing to cut him or let hm play it out and suck this year and even next to get rid of him. If they aren't making moves because they want the money to pay him, then that will be hugely disappointing.

That's about the only "win" you can get out of this, I guess.

But imagine they let him play out his last year AND THEN re-sign him. Hahahahaha.

1. Do nothing in Free Agency
2. Rely on the draft (last year's was terrible)
3. Only are competitive because of the QB
4. Underperform in playoffs per usual
5. Blame the QB who is the only reason you got there last year (2nd in MVP voting)
6. Rinse and repeat

Saw this online. FA has just begun and who knows what moves are still out there but I thought this thread was a good spot for it. heck there are several for that matter. Fits this place perfect
