.....not because it was RECENT. But last year, for me has to be the WORSE.

It was one of those moments where you come in as prime middle weight and a NOBODY comess to town and takes your lunch.
Leon Spinks beating Ali although that was closer.

I would have to say the divisional loss to the Giants in 2007. We had one of the most talented teams we have had. We had Romo, Crayton, TO, and Jason Witten along with a talented O line the number 3 ranked offense. Defense was midiocre but we went 13-3 and had the top seed in the NFC with our first home game against the Giants....came out completely flat and lost to the GIants.
That was on Romo. He did not play his best that day.

I thought it would be interesting to hear from the fan base as to what was their personal most embarrassing moment as a Cowboys fan. here is 2 of mine

the playoff game vs SF where we couldn’t spike the ball in time and lost the playoff game

and the 44-0 beat down by the Bears at home.
Most embarrassing was watching the news conference of a two-time defending Super Bowl winning head coach part ways with his employer. Most numbing was Chicago Bears 44-0 total domination. Most head shaking was 41-16 at the end of the third quarter last January 14.

I still remember that Vikings beat down. By Brett Favre. And 2007 season….we had a championship team and lost to Eli manning coming off a bye week. Embarrassing.
That 2007 game. Has to be the most disappointing since winning our last Superbowls. You had a bye, and home field throughout the playoffs. Only needing one win to get the NFC Championship game in Dallas. You choke and lose your first game at home.

I feel as if you had to be in the building. How do feel true “embarrassment” from your couch?

For me it was walking out of Reliant in the 2002 opener at Houston. Our seats were yard line but pretty high up, so the way out was those never ending spiral ramps, and those fans just got after us.

Couldn’t as much as offer a comeback. There wasn’t one.

I’m trying to come up with a close second and can’t, not for the term “embarrassment” anyway.

Those are all good ones (er, bad ones), though the Chicago demolition at least looks less bad in retrospect - it was aging Cowboys team versus one of the greatest defenses of all time. In addition, I'd add...

  • the Green Bay game from this past season. It doesn't get much worse than being down 27-0 at halftime, in large part because your supposedly great QB pooped his pants.
  • the Seattle playoff game where Romo fumbled the FG snap. I loved Romo, but my god, you lose a game you should have won in such a colossally stupid way, it's beyond embarrassing.
  • losing 44-0 in a win or go home game to Philly in 2008. Just a gutless performance.
  • losing to Houston in their first game ever. And it wasn't really close. Horrible.

I don't really have one but if Jerry extends Dak and makes him the highest paid player in the NFL, that might do it!

GB game nothing more embarrassing under the circumstances and nothing comes close to this loss.
Our fans started to leave the stadium at half-time.

And then he just stands there after he throws it.

The big games are just to big for him.

And it really sucks for the team and the fans.

I was at Quincy Carters first game vs Tampa (I believe)
It was early in the game and he made a move to avoid a sack....I looked over at my dad and said we've been missing this. This might be fun...
Went on to lose 6-10

oh please, that game was rigged. They had 10 penalties in the first half alone, mostly against the offense. How many did the Gaints have in the first half, on the road, in Dallas? Zero.
The Cowboys defense was it's usual stellar self as well, right after Romo punches it in the end of the half the defense gives it up within freaking seconds

The blocked game winning field goal attempt - run back / face mask penalty on the return - skins win on ensuing field goal game.

I was at fed ex field that day. Never felt so embarrassed walking out of a stadium in my entire life.
I was there too! They call it the hand of god game apparently.....sucked so bad on the marc back to Baltimore
