Losing to the expansion Texans in their first game. Jerry should have sold the team the next day.
Leon Spinks beating Ali although that was closer......not because it was RECENT. But last year, for me has to be the WORSE.
It was one of those moments where you come in as prime middle weight and a NOBODY comess to town and takes your lunch.
no doubt about it…wasn’t that a MNF game too?The loss to Houston on opening night in 2002. We lost to a team that had never played a football game together before.
this is mineMost embarrassing moment for me : Realizing many years ago this owner will never learn nor change his stubborn commitment to being in charge of everything despite the decades long evidence he is incapable in the cap era of building a championship roster.
That was on Romo. He did not play his best that day.I would have to say the divisional loss to the Giants in 2007. We had one of the most talented teams we have had. We had Romo, Crayton, TO, and Jason Witten along with a talented O line the number 3 ranked offense. Defense was midiocre but we went 13-3 and had the top seed in the NFC with our first home game against the Giants....came out completely flat and lost to the GIants.
Most embarrassing was watching the news conference of a two-time defending Super Bowl winning head coach part ways with his employer. Most numbing was Chicago Bears 44-0 total domination. Most head shaking was 41-16 at the end of the third quarter last January 14.I thought it would be interesting to hear from the fan base as to what was their personal most embarrassing moment as a Cowboys fan. here is 2 of mine
the playoff game vs SF where we couldn’t spike the ball in time and lost the playoff game
and the 44-0 beat down by the Bears at home.
That 2007 game. Has to be the most disappointing since winning our last Superbowls. You had a bye, and home field throughout the playoffs. Only needing one win to get the NFC Championship game in Dallas. You choke and lose your first game at home.I still remember that Vikings beat down. By Brett Favre. And 2007 season….we had a championship team and lost to Eli manning coming off a bye week. Embarrassing.
Those are all good ones (er, bad ones), though the Chicago demolition at least looks less bad in retrospect - it was aging Cowboys team versus one of the greatest defenses of all time. In addition, I'd add...I thought it would be interesting to hear from the fan base as to what was their personal most embarrassing moment as a Cowboys fan. here is 2 of mine

Oh, yeah. That was embarrassing. On multiple fronts. In the strike year when we played our starters and lost to Washington and their scabs.
GB game nothing more embarrassing under the circumstances and nothing comes close to this loss.
Our fans started to leave the stadium at half-time.

oh please, that game was rigged. They had 10 penalties in the first half alone, mostly against the offense. How many did the Gaints have in the first half, on the road, in Dallas? Zero. That was on Romo. He did not play his best that day.
I was there too! They call it the hand of god game apparently.....sucked so bad on the marc back to BaltimoreThe blocked game winning field goal attempt - run back / face mask penalty on the return - skins win on ensuing field goal game.
I was at fed ex field that day. Never felt so embarrassed walking out of a stadium in my entire life.
