Interesting take on the Dak situation

Nope. Jerry has the final word over any player or agent. Period.
Jerry wouldn’t know Dak Prescott if he were sitting next to him. That old fool is downing Johnnie Walker Blue and has final say over what he’s told to have final say over. Unless he offers a $60 million per season deal to Dak, Dak is going to become a free agent. And so what? Prescott can’t play quarterback forever. If the Cowboys prefer someone else, go sign someone else. Other teams do it. But playing for the Cowboys is no more prestigious than playing for the Falcons or the Cardinals. Cowboys fans delude themselves into thinking otherwise as do the fans of every other NFL team. As if their favorite team is something special. It is special to fans. The players have a different perspective. It is nonsense to think playing for the Cowboys is coveted by players. It is a play for pay league and guys will play for who pays. There are plenty of guys that believe they can be successful quarterbacks in the NFL. If the Cowboys don’t think Prescott can be successful, try one of the others. Jerry has final word over nothing. He can’t even keep track of who he impregnated.

She has a lot of good points, BUT Dak has played, so bad in his last 2 playoff games, and the playoffs in general, many Cowboys fans want to move on from him. Cowboys fans are also sick of his lame comments after the playoff losses. Also, against the best teams we played in the regular season, the Whiners and Buffalo, Dak played bad!

I will say though, in these big games Dak IS NOT getting much help from the coaching staff or his teammates.

As bad as Dak was vs GB, the defense was WAY worse. Dak never quit. He kept playing. Micah and his D quit!! I am so glad Quinn is gone!!!!
Well said. Dak was undoubtedly bad in the 49'ers, Bills, and Packers games. But as you mentioned, the defense was worse, giving up a staggering 121 points in those 3 games, and allowing a combined 409 rush yards to the Bills and Packers.

I've said several times, that I would have trouble paying any QB not named Mahomet the kind of money the market now dictates. It's crazy. And now top WR, EDGE, etc. are $30 million on top of it.

There is Mahomes and everyone else. And in this years playoffs, even he benefited from a stout Chiefs D. And a subpar OL was a big reason he lost a super bowl.

Some of the others:

- L. Jackson: 2-4 playoff record
- K. Cousins: 1-4 playoff record
- D. Prescott: 2-5 playoff record
- J. Herbert: .500 regular season record, and 0-1 in the playoffs
- J. Allen: Lead the league with 19 total turnovers in 2022; was bad in 2022 playoffs (3 Int's in 2 games, 59.3 comp%), and finished behind only Sam Howell for the most turnovers in 2023 with 22 total
- T. Lawrence: not yet extended, but regressed in 2023 & finished 3rd worst with 21 turnovers
- D. Jones: $45 million ... really?
- D. Watson: Disaster with the Browns
- R. Wilson: Monetary & compensatory disaster in Denver
- J. Hurts: fairly substantial regression in 2023 and finished 4th worst with 20 turnovers

I don’t post much (enjoy the read more). If the front office intends to sign Dak do it. Extending him later and any cap savings that might be gained that could have been spent to improve the team has passed. Redoing contracts of other players to sign free agents only pushes money forward only creates future cap problems when if it’s thier intention to sign Dak which would create the needed cap relief. I’m good with moving on from Dak and would just cut him now as June cut split the cap hit and start restocking the team țhe comp pick list would be offset by getting rid of the whole situation. The front office is handling this whole situation terribly

Give your thoughts

I love IT:hammer::hammer::hammer:

Rip the weak Veneer OFF this QB worshiping, talking point tribe!!

Basically, she is saying that IF Bengals, Bills, Chargers, Ravens, Jaguars and insert your next ANOINTED QB HERE, are HELD to the Dak Hate standard?? Fire ALL these flawed QBs

Dak Hate is about Comfortability!

e.g. Olorsvky is comfortable with Josh Allen's TO :huh:

I really don't understand the idea from some posters on this forum that a player isn't talented enough to play for you at one price but you have no problem playing him if he settles for half price. Half price makes them a better player?
Any other position & people don't get themselves all twisted up.

Thanks for stating this so simply.

Or else what? Or else he has to be paid over $50 million per season to play quarterback for some other team? That’s the “or else”? More likely Jerry has been informed there will be no talk of a contract until after Dak is a free agent. That puts Dak in the best possible negotiating position with the Cowboys and every other team. Jerry is not playing hardball. France is.
Wow. I feel sorry for the team that does that. It will set the team back 12 years

Dak not being good in these games should also shine the spotlight on how the rest of the team performs. Not every good QB can carry the entire team. We've known this about Dak and yet they refuse to beef up the other sides of the ball. What QB other than Mahomes is capable of staying in games when the defense isn't doing their part? When there is no running game to help the QB?

Dak is more than welcome to leave. Good luck. He won't get the glitz, glamor and glory he gets off-the-field that he gets wearing a Cowboys uniform.
This is not the 90s...maybe 2 or 3 Cowboy players are recognizable .

Don't confuse traditional media driving bait click journalism to a targeted segment of the population with the sentiment Nation wide

Players will not TAKE discounts.... especially the very good to Elite players.

With NIL, transfer portal and social media...taking your poster of discounts will accelerate the Cowboys football team demise...The Franchise will survive because it is just another portfolio in the Marketing Company.
